 Welcome to MommyFrazzled's RealFans WebPage

2009 and I am going to be about making everything I dream come true. I feel this is my year. I work hard and I deserve some happiness and fun. I have realized that life should be taken one day at a time and not to be lived as if there is an expiration date. I do not have an expiration date. So watch it because I am all about going HUGE in 2009. I want and plan to have it all! I have already starting achieving my goals. Great Life, New Husband, Excellent Career, Super Daughter, Great Friends, and I STILL LOOK DAMN GOOD FOR MY AGE 44!    So with that said, let me introduce myself;

I am Everywoman, I can't be defined in 1 group.

Mother, daughter, mommy, wife, short, dark, humorous, educated.

I came the this site to find people with like interest and boy did I find that!!  I am a person who works hard and I like to be around positive people and also have fun. Life will pass you by quickly if you do not enjoy it now.  I find inspiration in TV, News, Poems, Books, Everyday Events, Everyday people and a whole lot more.  Some of these things impact who I am or who I am still becoming.  At the end of the day I only want to have lived my life the best that I can and instill all the right life lessons to my daughter, making me her MOMMY.

More of me is at:  http://www.freewebs.com/mommyfrazzled/

Women Are Butterflies

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.

Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.

Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.

BUT..........
Sisters are there,
no matter how much time and how
many miles are between you.
A girl friend is never farther away
than needing her can reach.

When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you
have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life
will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on,
praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on
your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the
valley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk
beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters,

daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers,
Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended
family, all bless our life!

The world wouldn't be the same without women, and
neither would I. When we began this adventure called
womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or
sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we
would need each other.
Every day, we need each other still.

Pass this on
to all the women who help make your life meaningful.
I just did.
Short and very sweet:
There are more than twenty angels in this world.
Ten are peacefully sleeping on clouds.
Nine are playing.
And one is reading her email at this moment.

Girls In My Circle
I found that from being a girl to woman relationships amongst friends change. Some good some bad. And when you finally get to a point in your life you have to see who are the Girls In Your Corner. I have an awesome circle!! I would do anything for the women in my circle. We don't judge, we motivate, and when we have to tell a sistah she is being stupid on something you can't get mad because the person saying is not trying to hurt you.

Who are the Girls In Your Circle:

GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

When I was little,
I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
And then I started to become a woman.
And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up,
God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.
Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your children and their activities.
Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.
One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,'
Another, 'Let's fight together,' Another, 'Let's walk away together.'

One friend will meet your spiritual need,
Another your shoe fetish,
Another your love for movies,
Another will be with you in your season of confusion,
Another will be your clarifier, Another the wind beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life,
On whatever the occasion,
On whatever the day,
Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back,
Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself ..
Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several...
One from 7th grade,
One from high school,
Several from the college years,
A couple from old jobs,
On some days your mother,
On some days your neighbor,
On others, your sisters,
And on some days, your daughters.

So whether they've been your friend for 20 minutes or 20 years,
give thanks that God has placed these women in your life

Would You Let Someone Borrow $25.00?

Can I borrow $25.00?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to
find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask
such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do
you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head
down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked
that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or
some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to
your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so
selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish
frivolities.' The little boy quietly went to his room
and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the
little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions
only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man
had calmed down , and started to think: Maybe there was
something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he
really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to
the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
'Are you asleep, son?' He asked. 'No daddy,
I'm awake,' replied the boy. 'I've been
thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the
man 'It's been a long day and I took out my
aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank
you daddy!' He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow
he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the
boy already had money, started to get angry again. The
little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up
at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you
already have some?' the father grumbled.

Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the
little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy
an
hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I
would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little
son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It's just a
short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We
should not let time slip through our fingers without having
spent some time with those who really matter to us, those
close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of
your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for
could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the
family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for
the rest of their lives.

From my house to yours

'The light of God surrounds us.
The love of God enfolds us.
The power of God protects us.
The presence of God watches over us.
Wherever we are God is and all is well.'

From my home to yours - enjoy.

The Red Marbles

Karma - the effects of a person's actions that determine his destiny in his next incarnation. We hear the word a lot describing how things can come to haunt you when you do the wrong things. I want to always remember this story.

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes.

I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas.

I paid for my potatoes, but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas.

I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes. Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?'

'H'lo, Mr. Miller.. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good.'

'They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?'

'Fine. Gittin' stronger alla' time.'

'Good. Anything I can help you with?'

'No, Sir. Ju s' admirin' them peas.'

'Would you like take some home?' asked Mr. Miller.

'No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay for 'em with.'

'Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?'

'All I got's my prize marble here.'

'Is that right? Let me see it' said Miller.

'Here 'tis. She's a dandy.'

'I can see that. Hmmmmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go for red. Do you have a red one like this at home?' the store owner asked.

'Not zackley but almost.'

'Tell you what. Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble', Mr. Miller told the boy.

'Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller.'

Mrs. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me.

With a smile said, 'There are two other boys like him in our community, all three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever.

When they come back with their red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or an orange one, when they come on their next trip to the store.'

I left the store smiling to myself, impressed with this man.

A short time later I moved to Colorado , but I never forgot the story of this man, the boys, and their bartering for marbles.

Several years went by, each more rapid than the previous one.

Just recently I had occasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died.

They were having his visitation that evening and knowing my friends wanted to go, I agreed to accompany them.

Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and to offer whatever words of comfort we could.

Ahead of us in line were three young men.

One was in an army uniform and the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts...all very professional looking.

They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and smiling by her husband's casket.

Each of the young men hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket.

Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one, each young man stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in the casket.

Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes.

Our turn came to meet Mrs. Miller. I told her who I was and reminded her of the story from those many years ago and what she had told me about her husband's bartering for marbles.

With her eyes glistening, she took my hand and led me to the casket.

'Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about. They just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them.

Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or size....they came to pay their debt.'

'We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world,' she confided, 'but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho '.

With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband. Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles.

The Moral : We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath..

Used vs. Loved

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.
When the child saw his father.....with painful eyes he asked,
'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.
Devastated by his own actions.......sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.

The next day that man committed suicide. . . Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life..... Things are to be used and people are to be loved, But the problem in today's world is that, People are used and things are loved...

During this year, let's be careful to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used, but People are to be loved ...
Be yourself....This is the only day we HAVE.

Have a nice day !!!!!!!!

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits they become character;
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder..
God bless you; I hope you are having a wonderful day!
The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of
God will not PROTECT you...

We Reap What We Sow

The man slowly looked up. This was a woman clearly accustomed to the
finer things of life. Her coat was new. She looked like she had never missed a
meal in her life. His first thought was that she wanted to make  fun of him,
like so many others had done before.

"Leave me alone," he growled... To his amazement, the woman continued standing.
She was smiling -- her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows.

"Are you hungry?" she asked. "No," he answered sarcastically.
"I've just come from dining with the president.. Now go away."
The woman's smile became even broader.

Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm. "What are you doing,
lady?" the man asked angrily.. "I said to leave me alone.
Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked..

"No problem here, officer," the woman answered.. "I'm just trying to get
this man to his feet. Will you help me?"
The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's been
a fixture around here for a couple of years.
What do you want with him?"

"See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him
something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile."

"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go in
there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up.

"Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything.." "This is a good deal for you, Jack,"
the officer answered. "Don't blow it."

Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got
Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner.
It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had
already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived.

The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table.
"What's going on here, officer?" he asked."What is all this, is this man
in trouble?" "This lady brought this man in here to be fed,"
the policeman answered.

"Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that
here is bad for business." Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady.
I told you so. Now if you'll
let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place"

The woman turned to the cafeteria manager  and smiled. "Sir, are you
familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?"

"Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their
weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms."
"And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at
these weekly meetings?"

"What business is that of yours?" I, sir, am Penelope Eddy,
president and CEO of the company."
"Oh.."

The woman smiled again.. "I thought that might make a difference."
She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a laugh. "Would you like to
join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?"

"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty."  "Then, perhaps, a
cup of coffee to go?" "Yes, ma'am. That would be very nice."
The cafeteria manager turned on his heel. "I'll get your coffee for you
right away, officer."  The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly
put him in his place," he said.

"That was not my intent... Believe it or not, I have a reason for all
this." She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest.
She stared at him intently.

"Jack, do you remember me?"  Old Jack searched her face with his old,
rheumy eyes. "I think so -- I mean you do look familiar."

"I'm a  little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out
more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came
through that very door, cold and hungry."

"Ma'am?"  the officer said questioningly. He couldn't believe that
such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.
"I was just out of college," the woman began. "I had come to the city
looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything. Finally I was down
to  my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment.
I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving.
I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something
to eat."

Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said. "I was behind
the serving counter.. You came up and asked  me if you could work
for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy."

"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast
beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me
to
go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get
into
trouble. Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food
in
the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right."

"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said.

"I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I
started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered.."

She opened her purse and pulled out a business card. "When you are
finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons. He's the
personnel director of my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll
find something for you to do around the office."

She smiled. "I think he might even find the funds to give you a little
advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until
you get on your feet. If you ever need anything, my door is always
open to you."

There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you?"
he asked. "Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory.
He led me to you."

Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the
entrance before going their separate ways.. "Thank you for all your
help, officer," she said.

"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered.
"Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget..
And..And thank you for the coffee."

Have a Wonderful Day. May God Bless You Always and don't forget
that when you "cast your bread upon the waters," you never know how it
will be returned to you. God is so big He can cover the whole world with
his Love and so small He can curl up inside your heart..

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go.

Only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you
fall, or He'll teach you how to fly!

The power of one sentence! God is going to shift things around for
you today and let things work in your favor. If you believe, send it.
If you don't believe, delete it.

God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close.

If you need God to open some doors for you...send this on.

Have a blessed day and remember to be a blessing

How Far Would You Go For Your Child

When I first saw this it absolutely overwhelmed me. The love this man had for his son is nothing less than absolute.

A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with
me?'  The father who, despite having a heart conditio n, says 'Yes'. They went
on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through
the race together.

One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.'To which, his father said 'Yes' . For those who didn't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Isla nd
