Hey The Rachel Zoe Project Fans!
Oh, how I used to really enjoy The Rachel Zoe Project! Yeah, Taylor was a bit whiney but everyone needs a whiney assistant! It was fun watching Taylor and Brad 'duke' it because you could understand the dynamic. You know,The jaded assistant and the new, fresh assistant. Anyway, when Taylor left it still worked with just Brad! You could see Brad slowly turning into Taylor! Which was rather interesting!! In between the work issues it was even more fun to salivate over all the fashion. There was just enough so-called drama to balance the fun fashion and in all honesty the drama seemed 'real' enough.
Now, Rachel Zoe has 'made it' and she doesn't want to really play the game anymore although she likes some of the exposure. I do wonder if she is still under Bravo contract? Unfortunately, last sesason it was becoming unbearably noticable of all the staging and this season I stopped watching after the first episode.
Of course, being a Bravo viewer I still see a lot of the show through clips and I do pop on the website. Oh, and I might catch part of a show here and there as I am flipping channels.
Meaning, I have noticed that Joey (the makeup guy) has become Rachel's new best buddy and he is a stylist??? I think Rachel's REAL employees were too busy to film so Joey was brought in for filming. They 'popped' in the REAL employees to round it out and then used the sister for the personal touch.
AND THEN USED JEREMIAH!!! Jeremiah was used for filming and getting Rachel's home ready!!! He never really styled, Rachel did not have the time or the desire to train him but Jeremiah was a great 'filler' for television!
But, I do not feel sorry for Jeremiah. I think it was a wonderful experience and opportunity for him. In addition, he handled everything well!!
No, I feel sorry for the viewers. This show has lost it's panache, no, it never really and truly had panache but it definitely had some FLARE and ORIGINALITY when it first aired and that is gone!
Unfortunately, for me I don't even watch the show for fashion anymore! Do you?
Or do you still like The Rachel Zoe Project? Tell me what I am missing?
