Real Housewives Fans!

How is your summer going?  Mine is flying by!!  I love summer!!  I think it is why I watch very little reality television.  Summer time for me is my time to create my own reality.  The winter, I tend to hunker down and watch more television with a blanket around me.  Anyway, I hope you all are enjoying the long summer days and getting out in the sun!!

Okay, so I am writing this on Sunday, and I just watched The Real Housewives of New York City.  Thank Goodness for my DVR!!  I love the New York ladies but summer is just way more fun!! 

 

Anyway,  the episode opens with LuAnn's strategy session for her music video.  LuAnn enters the meeting blowing smoke up the ass of James 'Jersey' Murray, the Music Video Stylist.  LuAnn informs him that she just knows the video is going to be great because he is doing it.  Now, Did you get a good look at the guy and then laugh.  I mean he looks like he belongs in an old 'Miami Vice' episode.  James 'Jersey' Murray was all 'Don Johnsoned' up.  The White T-shirt and gold chain is so 1980's and I was thinking, he is a Music Video Stylist?  Yeah, for what decade?  Then, LuAnn meets Chris Lynch,the  Music Video Director, who doesn't look all that much better LOL!  But, at least he has a proper shirt on and no gold chains!!! Okay, we will Forget how the two guys look and concentrate on the VISIONS!!  This is where LuAnn realizes her song might be about beauty, class and elegance BUT she doesn't have the money to portray it in a video.  C'mon they are shooting the Video in Atlantic City with a director that gave no input but,  "it is really great" .  I think LuAnn was sitting there getting scared, wouldn't you, my friends?  LOL

Well, during the meeting LuAnn states that she wants all the ladies to participate in the video but she is unsure if they will.  This is the perfect setup for the entire episode!!

Ramona and Sonja are walking on the Treadmill and Ramona's mouth is going faster than both treadmills!  Ramona is not doing the video and her excuse?  HER DAUGHTER.  *Cough, Cough*  Ramona claims that Avery would be embarrassed if she participated.  That is beyond hysterical!   I mean, Ramona has done plenty of crap on The Real Housewives of New York City that I am sure Avery has found embarrassing so I can't imagine a brief appearance in a video would do any more damage!! Anyway,  Ramona continues to ramble on about the image the video will portray and once it is on the internet it is out there forever and LuAnn's last video she was laying with men and blah, blah, blah.  Ramona uses this opportunity to call LuAnn a weekend mom, AGAIN.  Oh, and she states that they have different parenting philosophies.  Sonja is pretty quiet during the little diatribe.  She listens and allows Ramona to give her lame reasons.  Sonja does say that LuAnn's son, Noel, was upset with the first video, which I can understand the son feeling that way.  Sonja, then says, "Yeah, I will talk it over with my daughter."  But, I did notice, Sonja interjected this touch of wisdom, "Kids get embarrassed by every little thing."  Ramona took that as affirmation BUT I took it more as Sonja saying, "You know, you can't always please your kids and they get embarrassed easily."  Personally, I thought, Sonja seemed more distracted by the old guy in the red sweatpants flirting with her and I think she wanted to get out of there before he tried to make a move LOL!  Ramona's excuses were lame and I think for the first time Ramona was not telling the brutal truth because the brutal truth would make Ramona look calculating.  I will get to that in a moment!

Oh, the Firepit scene!  I like Alex and Simon but this scene did not go over well with me AT ALL!!  For many reasons.  I will start with saying I agree that the drinking age should be 18 BUT Americans have issues with Alcohol and our special interest groups, two huge ones, MADD and the auto insurance both have fought for the drinking age of 21.  Anyway, I am a firm believer in upholding our laws and you teach children to uphold laws.  If you teach children to break laws wily nily then you create a society of chaos.  If you want things to change you do it within the laws not by breaking the law.  I do give credit for Alex not choosing to argue with Simon at that moment or in front of the child.  At that moment their child is still too young and no need to worry about what Simon was saying and it is better to stand united then divided. 

Onto the Alex and not doing the video.  Alex is claiming she has issues with 'the message' and it isn't LuAnn personally.  I don't believe that for a moment.   I think it is totally personal AND there is nothing wrong with that reason!!  Listen, I understand that they think that LuAnn tries to play up the 'class thing' and they don't believe in it but then Alex and Simon totally contradicted it by discussing Alex's upbringing.  Oh, and Simon acted as if Alex was above going to school in Kansas?  I was baffled.  I grew up in a home in which we did not discuss class either but we certainly did not think it was better to say C U Next Tuesday.  I was beyond stunned when Simon said, " move the O out of Countess to just in front of it!"  Wow!  I get that they are sick of her and her bullshit but that is a bit harsh!   I think that Alex and Simon could have done a better job of getting their point across.  Alex probably embarrassed her mother.  "My father owned oil fields"  That came out very snobby!   I get that Alex is over being called a social climber but bragging gets you nowhere and I think her mother tried to teach her that a long time ago and Alex must of forgotten the lesson!  Sorry, but the firepit scene was a disaster!!

You know the scene!!  Jill with the red cap!!  Hey, I loved Jill's boots!!  But, I would love to Jill's makeup.  I do Mary Kay and poor Jill, she had way too much makeup on.  Sonja, looked fabulous. Oh, goodness I have digressed!  Anyway back to the scene.  I just love the way Sonja handles Jill!!   Sonja gently informed Jill that she would not be participating in LuAnn's video but she let Jill think she was talking her into at least showing up for support!!  That is how you keep all the balls up in the air.  Notice how Sonja did not put the video down or talk bad about LuAnn or discuss the video message?  Nope, she just said, "Listen, I can't get leave my child again and I have to talk it over with her."  Sonja gossiped a little bit about Ramona and Avery but if you noticed she never agreed or disagreed with Jill assessment of Ramona.  She let Jill spout off about Ramona and then she joked, "Yeah, if you listened to your child you would live in a closet."  I know, this kills me but I do agree with Jill about Ramona claiming Avery and embarrassment.  Avery clearly would have other things to be embarrassed about and yet Ramona keeps trucking along.  Overall, I agree with Sonja, you do your best to think of your children before doing things but you can't live in a closet!  Although, I don't think you should do hot tub scenes or body shots either and to me that is common sense LOL!!!  Turtle time, that isn't so bad, border line but not the end of the world and LuAnn's video, c'mon that is definitely not anything compared to other things? 
Oh, side note question,who was laughing when Jill stated, "There is a question are you a drama queen?"  I was dying, just dying of laughter!!

Holy Hell!!  Talk about two women that DON'T LIKE EACH OTHER!!  Listen, Ramona and LuAnn can't stand each other and Ramona wasn't going to play the game!!  GOOD FOR RAMONA!!  LuAnn has missed more shit because of 'her kids' and she has not supported many of the Housewives. Especially the BLONDES!  Ramona is no dummy and she knew that LuAnn wanted and NEEDED all the women in the video to help SELL IT!!  The blondes dumped her for a reason.  THE BRUTAL CALCULATING TRUTH!!  and THE REASON?  Well, Go back to every season and look how many times LuAnn was unable to show up for the  other Housewives events?  Matter of fact, Avery said to Ramona, "Mom, LuAnn never comes to your stuff."  LuAnn is your ultimate bitch.  She smiles, hugs and kisses you then she walks out the door and sticks the knife in your back.  LuAnn did not show up for Sonja's events and she has snubbed Alex over and over!  What comes around goes around.  LuAnn has used her kids as her excuse so many times it is pathetic and it is funny how she doesn't like the excuse being thrown back in her face!
Anyway, the meeting was painful.  Ramona called her a bad mother and then when LuAnn tried to go after Ramona's marriage Ramona nailed LuAnn's ass with her FAILED marriage.  LuAnn is a dumbshit.  C'mon, you just got divorced and the rumors are all over the internet that you both cheated on each other and then you are going to try to attack a married woman?  STUPID!
The parenting?  That is harsh.  Both women know things about each other and something is up?  And their competitive nature about parenting is getting the better of both of them.  Listen, In the end, parenting is hard and it is a shame WE don't support each other more.  Oh, well, it was fun for television because the two ladies really went round and round and there really was no knock out.  LuAnn held her own.  I must admit both women are strong and they can go toe to toe with each other!

Sonja extends an invitation to Cindy to mend fences.  Yikes!  Cindy closed the door and I hope it hit her ass on her way out!!  Listen, we all live different lives but working women seem to have this attitude that their lives are more important.   My husband treats my time better than a working woman.  This baffles me?  Is it jealousy?  If Cindy loves what she does then why does she have to put down Sonja?  I don't work but I do work.  Just because I don't have the traditional 9-5 or high powered job doesn't mean I don't have a life.  I know how Sonja feels but working women can get this attitude.  Oh, and they act like women who don't have jobs live lives of total leisure.  I have appointments and meetings and my time is valuable too.  Anyway, to take a business call like that is rude.  My husband would never do that in any situation.  Cindy has no excuse.  Bringing her assistant was rude and taking the call was beyond rude AND then not to remove themselves and go into another room?  WOW!!  Oh, and then asking Sonja to be quiet in her own home?  Cindy should have declined the invite BUT CINDY needed AIR TIME.  Cindy joined the cast for business reasons and then clearly found out it was NOT going the way she wanted. BRAVO was not FILMING Cindy and her work!!    Cindy used Sonja to try to promote her business in that scene but it turned out the scene made Cindy look like an ass and a bitch.  Sonja invited her over for an intimate brunch.  Cindy should have declined but then Cindy would have been non-existent!  Cindy was lucky that Sonja threw her a bone!

Only Jill shows up for LuAnn!  For whatever reason LuAnn and Jill seem to be there for each other and then not really.  Jill has clung to LuAnn but if anyone noticed when Jill went through hell last year LuAnn remained friends with Jill in a kind of sort of way.  Let me try to explain, I think LuAnn quietly stayed in the background.   Kelly did her normal, come late leave early scenario.  Jill was beyond annoying and LuAnn claimed you need a book to deal with Jill and the director did not have the Jill book.  "No, LuAnn you needed a real director, one that was willing to tell Jill to shut the F@&k up"  I knew the minute that Jill was running the show how low budget LuAnn's video really was and why she desperately needed all the Housewives! LOL

I loved Ramona trying to tell her husband to 'get over going to Brooklyn'.  Listen, we all live in places that have the 'in' part of the city and the 'out' part of the city.  Brooklyn may be up and coming but it will always be Brooklyn and for people that live in Manhattan,well, it is Brooklyn.  That is just how life rolls!  I love NYC and Brooklyn is nice but Manhattan is nicer!!!  Now, that being said you don't go to Brooklyn and shout at the top of your lungs that it is SECOND BANANAS!!  Although, I was waiting for Simon and Mario to rumble and I just knew Mario would kick Simon's Ass LOL!!  The big black thing that Alex wanted did nothing for me, how about you?  Oh, and Sonja, I loved her dress but maybe a little too much cleavage? 

 

Kelly came running into the casino like a silly little girl.  Honestly, Kelly loves to act like she is 10!  Does she think that's attractive?  Oh, and  She talked about Alex having a 'staged' entrance?  AND THEN  Jill yelling, "Kelly's here, Kelly's here"  I was thinking, "Who the hell cares?"  It was beyond silly.  Wait, we can't forget the claim of being a VIRGIN, gambling virgin that is LOL!    I don't believe half the shit that comes out of Kelly's mouth.  Do you?   I think Kelly likes to act like she is this little miss innocent.  Kelly thinks that is cute and seductive. 
Anyway, Miss Kelly helped for a scene of the video and then she blew out of town but of course she was getting her digs in during her talking head interviews.  Saying, such shit as, "Of course you support of friend, and the other women should have been there for LuAnn."  Once again, Kelly brings nothing to The Real Housewives of New York City and if she would not have shown up then Kelly would not have been apart of the episode?? Damn, that would have been great!   Now, I wonder why Kelly really made that trip to Atlantic City!!

Oh, and you know the video is low budget when  you are using husbands and step children and producers to fill scenes. 

The director had no clue as to what he was doing and that video is anything but CHIC!

In the end, LuAnn is getting all that she has coming to her, wouldn't you say?  A cheap video to match  LuAnn's true station in life!  LuAnn is learning that when you choose not to support your fellow castmates they certainly are not going to close their eyes and turn around help you.  The BLONDES knew damn well that LuAnn only wanted them in the video to increase video sales.  PERIOD!!
Maybe, next time LuAnn should think twice when burning a bridge!  The Blondes were not hurting LuAnn they just made a choice not to be used by LuAnn. 

Only one more Real Housewives of New York City to go and then the Reunion!!
