The Real Housewives of New York City: Two Brunette's MIA

posted by RF Club, Group AdministratorSaturday, June 18th 2011 @ 8:55 AM (not yet rated)

The Real Housewives of New York City!

I enjoyed this episode!

Kind of funny!  Let us take a quick look at the episode!

No Kelly, well, just the little tiny scene about her daughter designing the Christmas card.  Her daughters are adorable and I only enjoy Kelly when she is with her kids.

Cindy was non-existent AGAIN!  Cindy just adds nothing to the show unless it is silly petty fighting and who wants that shit?  I do believe she has 'issues'.  Who stresses with someone when looking at pictures?  That poor girl couldn't even look at the pictures correctly in Cindy's eyes.  Cindy definitely has some mental issues.  Okay, who secretly laughed when she was missing from the camel shots?  Raise your hand!  I know Sonja was wrong but after Cindy being ridiculous over hangers and a seat I just couldn't help but giggle!

Ramona was more upset by the fortune teller than she wanted to admit.  I get it.  After 18 years of marriage you wonder.  You sometimes think, "Oh, my gosh, have I taken him for granted, I better stop and give him attention."   I think Mario was a little uncomfortable doing the romantic scene and Ramona should have thought about AVERY.  Jill was tweeting it was Soft porn.  I don't think it was but I still think these women need to think of their children and Ramona could have had a romantic dinner and still got her point across without embarrassing their daughter.

Which leads me to Alex and Simon.  Alex seemed uncomfortable with the sexy scene too.  I think Simon was trying to help her with her modeling career and wanted her to model lingerie.  It felt a little staged and Alex seemed really uncomfortable.  Once again, do what is natural.  I think a romantic dinner is more their style, just my opinion, or at least I feel Alex had trouble with sharing that intimate scene on television and I understand, I would too.

Onto LuAnn and Jacques.  These two seemed very comfortable with their 'reunion' scene.  It was sweet and AT A RESTAURANT!  A nice little date!  I know they are dating and the other two are married but sometimes we just need the romantic dinner to get the point.  We understood by their words, smile and genuine gazing that these two missed each other.  To be honest, I could tell that Alex and Simon were happy to be back together when they were being playful in the kitchen and Mario lit up when he saw Ramona which would have been enough.  The two married couples might not have had date night to reunite so BRAVO could have just panned away after the initial spark!

So, we saw the romantic reunions with the married ladies and the one happily dating lady EXCEPT for one!  I am sure Jill will claim she does not believe in showing romance but she didn't even do a romantic dinner. NO, Jill's scene is her BOSSING Bobby!  Does Jill think that is cute? Funny?  I think it is sad.  Jill wants Ramona's husband to be having a fling and I think she should worry about BOBBY but then again I get the impression the two of them are more business partners than they are lovers.  Listen, I wouldn't do a romantic scene either but I would do a romantic dinner.  I would kiss my husband and hold his hand.  I would not EMBARRASS him and PICK HIS CLOTHES OUT FOR HIM and insist I be part of his initials. NO WAY!!   My husband would definitely draw the line at that point.  He has his own initials JUST LIKE I HAVE MY OWN.  Of course, I help my husband dress but he definitely has input.  I think Jill needs to focus on her marriage and not worry about someone else marriage!

While we are speaking about Jill we might as well talk about her focus group for Skweeze Couture.  Where was Kelly?  Her best buddy?  Oh, well!  A focus group is not a group of people you think will give you positive feedback.  I loved the way she said, "Give honest feedback but be gentle with your criticism."  Jill, "When you go into business you need to be able to take criticism, gentle or not and listen to it."  Once again, Jill wanted the women to say how great it was and how excited they were for her because it was being filmed.  It was a fake focus group and that is why Ramona was not included because Ramona would have given honest opinions.  Although, It did sound like some of the women were trying to give GENTLE criticism LOL.

Jill cracks me up.  She asked for gentle criticism and yet she went after Sonja with all barrels about her Bankruptcy. Jill is so gentle when it is happening to another person, isn't she?   Earlier in the episode Sonja was getting her facial and assuring everyone that she pays her bills.  Sonja was making it clear that her money issues was due to a BUSINESS DEAL that had gone bad.  Unfortunately for Sonja sometimes if you are not careful your business dealings can get attached to your personal assets.  You could tell that at the time of filming Sonja was in the beginning stages of the business deal falling apart.  Sonja, herself, was trying to sort out all the details.  In this day and age sometimes stories break very early and they break without all the facts or only part of the facts or the facts are misconstrued and so on.  Jill, was spewing SHIT that she had READ in the paper.  TYPICAL JILL!  It seemed to me that Sonja was not ready to spill all the facts.  Whether she had them all yet or she was still working it all out but there was JILL steamrolling over SONJA.  Ramona and Alex were right.  Sometimes a person just needs a hug and an EAR.  Jill needs to learn to SHUT THE HELL UP and just LISTEN.  Jill needs to say, "Hey, so sorry, call me if you need anything."  THAT  IS IT!!

Okay, now, let us lighten it up for a moment!  "Sonja, what the heck is it with keeping the tags on your clothes?"  I thought that one was a bit weird.  Sonja needs to get the scissors out and snip those tags off LOL!  Sonja is a mixed bag.  She loves the good stuff but she loves a good bargain too!  Typical WOMAN.  We all want the best but we love to brag about the bargains we find, except a few.  We all know a few women who have to BRAG that they don't bargain shop and they love to brag about how much they spend on retail. Jill is like that and then she laughs and says she is helping the economy.  Anyway, I felt bad for Sonja this episode.  You could tell it was hard for her to discuss her money issues and her pride took a hit.  Ramona came through for her with the hug and "You will be fine " pep- talk, which is all a friend wants to hear and Sonja needed that to be filmed too!

Last but not least, Alex and LuAnn.  I must admit I found the coffee scene silly.  Alex and LuAnn have never been friends and they didn't need to meet.  LuAnn is a condescending bitch.  She wasn't going to listen to Alex.  In addition, what happened in Morocco, was at that point to far removed from their lives.  It happened, move on.  Sometimes you just have to let it go without talking about it.  I think LuAnn is a hypocrite because she meddles in everything especially when it comes to Jill BUT LuAnn will never see it.  In addition, LuAnn is the type of person that REALLY believes she has CLASS and MANNERS.  LuAnn believes she does no wrong.  Alex was wasting her time and I have to admit I think Alex did it to have a 'scene' because I don't think Alex really cares about LuAnn.  I like Alex but the scene came off as fake only because neither woman cares two cents about each other and it showed!

Why did I like this episode?  It wasn't a bunch of fighting and it showed the women a little bit with their lives, just a tiny little bit but I like that and I hope Bravo does more.  I like seeing the women with their spouses, children and friends.  They don't always have to hang with each other and they don't have to always be engaged in drama or drama with each other. I mean sometimes the drama happens in their real lives without each other, right?  Don't the cameras ever catch other drama LOL?
