The Real Housewives of New York City!
Cindy and Sonja Downtown New York City!
Vivienne Tam is the meeting place for Cindy and Sonja! Gotta admit this little tiny scene was a HOT MESS!! It begins with Cindy stating in her interview that she invited Sonja for an outing at Vivienne Tam's and lunch but we all know life changes on a dime, right? The emergency that changed the big lunch plans was Cindy's teeth. From what I could gather Cindy and Sonja got drunk the night before on Martini's and Cindy went home and ate pistachio nuts and cracked her two front teeth that are worth a million dollars, OKAY??? I agree with Sonja the teeth LOOKED fine and I was thinking Cindy could DO lunch. Cindy was not in pain and she did invite Sonja but on the other hand it was JUST LUNCH and Sonja did overreact to Cindy canceling. Bottom line, I think what bothered Sonja was their FILMING was cut short and Sonja had gotten all dressed up, hired her 'driver boy' to take her to TRIBECA and then Cindy acted like a big baby about her teeth.
Now, while trying on dresses Sonja tries to bring Cindy (gosh, I hope Cindy did not buy the purple dress, it was a pretty dress but NOT ON CINDY) into her confidence about Ramona and Kelly AND how she wants to have them talk it out at her Toaster Oven party.

From the conversation, we could gather that Kelly has been invited with her children to Sonja's Toaster Oven Party and she has been led to believe Ramona is not coming but Sonja is going to have Ramona 'pop' in. Cindy shot the plan down. I totally agree with Cindy but to be honest after giving her opinion and seeing Sonja's immediate reaction Cindy should have let it go and not said another word to Sonja. I know I would have handled it that way! Sometimes you have to know your place.
Cindy is bored with the 'Kelly and Ramona conversation' and she wants to move onto HER PARTY. Cindy is having a party in Quogue, from the conversation and interviews we the viewers can surmise it is a section in the Hamptons? Well, from Sonja's TACTFUL, (read with sarcasm) reaction we learn very quickly that this section is not considered 'IN' or Elite, as Cindy puts it and Sonja has no intention of going to Quogue and then she rambles on that she just made one exception to her rules by coming 'downtown' during the week and she just can't make another exception. GOODNESS what is wrong with Cindy?? (sarcasm)
Cindy, then, makes a crack in her interview that Sonja doesn't even OWN a home in the Hampton's so does she really have the right to PICK on any section of the HAMPTONS???
It is after these two women have kinda of had a total boxing match while 'shopping' that Cindy informs Sonja that there will be NO LUNCHING and man oh man if looks could kill and I mean BOTH of them deliver KILLER LOOKS. Sonja wanted to kill Cindy when she canceled lunch and Cindy wanted to kill Sonja for her LACK OF UNDERSTANDING. I was exhausted after watching the FIRST SCENE LOL.
LuAnn's House in the Hampton's
This scene opens up with LuAnn kissing her 15 year old daughter, Victoria, on the lips. Yuck. I guess it is just me but I stopped kissing my kids on the lips when they got older. Anyway, in this scene we learn LuAnn's NEW setup. In her interview LuAnn informs us how much she loves the Hamptons, especially once the summer ends and the renters are gone. She informs, us, the viewers that it is a very small town and she loves it, yeah right, did you believe her?? See, LuAnn never got that apartment in the city and she obviously had to switch the kids to schools out in the Hamptons but LuAnn likes the CITY. Her boyfriend lives in the city, she likes to shop and her 'music' brings her into the city too lol! Anyway, Victoria assures her mother that it is no problem that she is gone two or three nights a week! OF COURSE, I am sure the 15 year old LOVES mom being gone a few nights a week LOL!!! LuAnn explains in her interview that she has a Mother's Helper??? I guess when the kids are teenagers the name switches to Mother's Helper and not Nanny but it is a Nanny, right??? Now, we, the viewers are totally up to speed on LuAnn's life. Jacques comes into the scene at the end to perform a little trick with his dog which was perfect because Victoria earlier said, "I like Jacques and his dog."
Kelly and Sonja Horse Back Riding!
This scene opens up with Kelly explaining why she loves the Hamptons in the Fall. Unlike LuAnn, I believe Kelly. I truly think Kelly HATES all the crowds and schmoozing. I think she has to do it for money but Kelly really likes the quiet and the beauty of the Hamptons in the Fall. Unfortunately, she can't have it without the other part.
Kelly invites Sonja to go riding at Wolffer Estate Stables. Kelly states that this is where she rides regularly and thought it would be fun for Sonja to join her.
FUN, yeah, not so much!
Kelly was a nervous wreck and Sonja was SONJA! Kelly had an instructor, Bobbi, join them and yet Kelly seemed to be doing MOST of the instructing LOL. I must say, Kelly was genuinely concern but Kelly needs to understand that learning involves mistakes. I think Kelly felt Sonja was being WRECKLESS and Sonja was trying to SHOW OFF. Sonja wanted to prove she still had skills. Kelly stated that animals are always animals and you must be careful. Kelly is so right. I had the most frightening experience on a horse. I did not know what I was doing and since I held the reins incorrectly the horse took advantage and took off into the woods at full speed. I, at one point had to lay back so I would not hit tree branches and die. It was incredibly scary. Anyway, back to the scene. I love how Bravo shows Sonja in her interview calling Kelly BRAINLESS and then Sonja takes the tumble, very funny. Although, Kelly did not laugh and in her interview she did not laugh. No, Kelly said, "She dropped like a rag doll and it was bad, it was bad." Sonja is a hard head and she really doesn't listen to other people and their advice. There are times to be all FUN and WILD Sonja! Then, there are times to settle down a bit, listen and still have fun. Sonja admitted that she had not ridden in a few years. Maybe, Sonja, should have been a little more polite and listen to her friend who was just trying to have her back and her safety. Kelly was not rude or impolite in her interviews and she clearly was concern about safety.
After the fall Sonja tries to discuss Ramona with Kelly.
Kelly explains her feelings nicely. Which is odd for Kelly and I think Sonja should respect Kelly's feelings. Kelly says, "Hey, Ramona and I just don't get along and that is okay. I will always be polite but we don't have to be friends." I know most of you do not like Kelly but it is a rational statement and I agree with Kelly. I too, have many people in my life that I don't particularly care for but I must interact with and I just behave in a civil manner when I enter the same circle with them.
LuAnn's Cocktail party on Columbus Day Weekend!
Another HOT MESS scene! I must admit that this scene is ironic. It is Columbus Day Weekend, meaning, Monday is a day off and the true meaning of Columbus Day is to celebrate Christopher Columbus discovering THE AMERICAS. We all know our history and what happened with his discovery, correct?? Well, watch the SCENE carefully and how all the women discuss the Native Americans?? Sonja still calls them Indians! Kelly brings LuAnn a Native American t-shirt because LuAnn is like one-tenth Native American LOL and then Kelly does the Native American 'Call' we have seen so many times in WESTERNS of the 1950's and 1960's when you slap your hand against your mouth and you sing out ahhhhhh, ahhhh, ahhhh. I guess I just found it sooooo interesting that these women seemed to blatantly stereotype and how appropriate on Columbus Day Weekend (sarcasm)
So, let us move onto more of the FUN! (MORE SARCASM)
Cindy and Sonja seem to go round and round AGAIN about her party in Quogue ONLY now LuAnn is dragged into the mess. LuAnn pretty much confirms that Quogue is not the place 'to be' during the conversation and LuAnn definitely makes it clear in her interview. But, the fun begins when LuAnn and Sonja both proclaim they did not even receive the EMAILED invite. Cindy quickly realizes that these women are snobs and that most likely her emails are in their JUNK or SPAM section. Oh, and the final dig comes from Sonja when she says, "Well, before I met you all your business emails went to my spam folder, you understand, right?" Cindy looks at Sonja like, "ARE YOU FOR REAL?" Of course, she had just watched Sonja compare Kelly to her ex-husbands former wife, Elle Macpherson. Kelly assures us in her interview that she was proud of that comparison. ALRIGHTY!!! Now, back to Cindy! Cindy was driving me NUTS about the party too. For Godsakes, say what you mean and mean what you say! Is it for your birthday or not?? If not then don't mention your birthday! If it is a family party then say so! Make the INVITE CLEAR!!!! Not, bring your kids if you HAVE to. Who has an invitation like that??? So Ramona texts Cindy for clarification and this seems to upset Cindy. Obviously, you can't UPSET MISS CINDY or ask her questions. I thought Ramona's question was fair but Cindy seemed put off by it, I think maybe because it was Ramona.
I am telling you this scene is a hot mess and it gets better!! Alex comes in and they greet her and she gets her glass of Rose!
Ramona bolts in next demanding her Pinot Grigio AND she brought her own bottle!!! Ramona bitches that it took her Three and half hours to get there which is no big deal. Not how long but I could see friends talking like that with each other. You know the complaining and the "get me a drink, quick!" talk! Cindy seems put off by the entire ordeal. I think Cindy forgets that these women all know each other well. I could see my friends being this way with each other. After Ramona bitches about the long drive in Sonja says to her, "then tomorrow you are going to Quogue." Ramona says to Cindy, "Yeah, I thought about that, another hour, Good thing I kind of like you." Now, in fairness to Ramona she had no idea that Sonja had been going round and round with Cindy about the party in Quogue so she did not know she was adding salt to the wound nor did she just hear Sonja say, "If I get invited to one more thing that is a flop, wrong place, wrong time, wrong food, wrong drinks." See, Ramona walked in and Cindy was still reeling from Sonja and Ramona was all loud and 'I need a drink and Oh, God I have to go Quogue, ha! ha!' and Cindy was just spinning from it all!
Anyway, Ramona had bigger fish to fry she wanted to dig at LuAnn. Ramona wanted to know what LuAnn was up to and her 'living' arrangements. Ramona says, "So you spend two to three nights in the city, so I guess you are a weekend mom." LuAnn is like, "No, I am here most of the time, and it works. Yes, I do spend a few nights in the city but it works for us." Ramona counters, "Yeah, but the children are teenagers and busy on the weekend so how much time do you really spend...." LuAnn cuts her off with, "It works for us, it works." Ramona repeats the phrase back, "It works for you, it works." Bravo cuts to LuAnn's interview where she states that she was pretty offended by Ramona digging at her in her own home and not only that but Ramona is out and about in New York City every night so what about her parenting?
Here is my opinion, when you are a parent then worry about YOUR children and YOUR parenting because you NEVER EVER know what is going to happen and don't go throwing stones!!!! Parenting is hard and it would be nice if WE SUPPORTED each other and stopped ATTACKING one another!!
Now believe it or not this SCENE IS NOT OVER!!! Cindy believes in her heart she should warn Kelly about Sonja's plan of getting Ramona and Kelly to become friends. Cindy does what all women do and makes a woman promise to keep their mouth shut. What a Mistake! Kelly says, OKAY. Cindy informs Kelly of Sonja's plan and says, "Go to the Toaster Oven party but don't bring your girls and KNOW that Sonja is coming from a good place." I think Cindy was looking out for Kelly and her girls and I don't think she slammed Sonja. I think Cindy knew that Sonja genuinely believed in her heart she was doing something good but Cindy just didn't want the kids involved.
The Scene finally Ends!! The women start saying their goodbyes and Kelly states in her interview that she has problems being around Ramona when she has been drinking and then the scene ends with Alex and Ramona leaving and Kelly shaking her head in disgust!
Dog Walking to the Beach!
It is the same weekend and the ladies that own dogs attend a dog walk in the Hamptons to raise money for animal rescue. Basically this scene breaks up into two parts.
Ramona turns to LuAnn for advice. Ramona wants to fix the rift between her and Cindy. We quickly learn why Ramona was so upset about the cigar smoking incident with Cindy's brother, Howie. From what I could gather, Cindy's brother, Howie, has hooked up with a woman named Carol. Carol was married to Ramona's best friend Jeff and Jeff died. Carol gave Jeff's Cigar to her new lover, Cindy's brother, Howie. Howie ran into Ramona and he was smoking a cigar and he felt the need to inform Ramona that it was Jeff's cigar. Unbeknownst to Howie and Cindy this triggered a bad childhood memory for Ramona. It reminded Ramona of her father allowing his new lovers to wear Ramona's mother's jewelry. In all honesty it all adds up now but Cindy seems like a self centered person who is unwilling to EVER listen to the other side so she wouldn't care anyway. I think Ramona needs to just let it go. LuAnn does offer sound advice. She basically says to explain her feelings and NOT DEMAND an apology and then move on. Of course, in LuAnn's interview she points out how Ramona turns her for advice the following day after insulting her at her home the night before. As LuAnn stated, "I think Ramona puts it out there and then forgets she says it."
The second part of the scene! Kelly does NOT KEEP HER MOUTH SHUT!! Kelly walks off with Sonja on the dog walk and she says, "Cindy told me about your plan to have Ramona show up on Tuesday to the Toaster Oven party" Bravo cuts away to Sonja's interview where Sonja says, "Someone just stepped on my toes."
In this scene we see signs of the OLD KELLY and Sonja trying desperately to talk Kelly off the ledge. Kelly cannot deal with LIFE. It is clear for me and I am thinking it is becoming clear to Sonja that Kelly can only DEAL with LIFE when it is ROSY. Sonja tries to say, "Listen, I just want you and Ramona to talk and I am sure Ramona will be fine." Kelly, answers, "No, I can't deal with combative situations and there is not enough super glue in the world to fix this situation." In all honesty, that is a pretty BIG revelation for Kelly and Sonja should be happy she got that much out of Kelly but Sonja kept pushing and she pushed Kelly right into SAND ANGELS. That is the way Kelly reacts when you push her too hard. She chooses to become TEN. For some reason we, the viewers, think this is horrible,God-awful, makes Kelly insane. I guess we think table flipping, throwing a person, ripping wigs off a head is a much better way to go through life??? I am not sure what that says about us????? Personally, I think it is all a little weird but not insane, we all have our coping skills!! I won't mention mine LOL
The Quogue Party!
The scene begins with Cindy's brother Howie walking up to Cindy saying " Hey birthday girl, Happy Birthday!" Guess it is a BIRTHDAY PARTY at Quogue Farm, a HORSE FARM and Cindy states in her interview that she doesn't ride!! OKAY, let me get this straight, Cindy claims she doesn't have birthday parties and this party really wasn't a birthday party BUT all the guests are wishing her a Happy Birthday? Whatever! Oh, and then Cindy has the party at a horse farm and she doesn't ride horses??? Is this woman NUTS or what?? Then, Cindy claims the first thing Ramona says is where is my Pinot Grigio, WRONG, THE FIRST THING RAMONA SAID is Happy Birthday and Ramona went on to talk about riding which she obviously knows more about than Cindy because CINDY DOES NOT RIDE. Once again, making me wonder why Cindy is having her FIRST ever birthday party at a HORSE FARM??? After Ramona wishes Cindy a 'Happy Birthday' and chats a bit about riding she then turns into RUDE RAMONA asking for her Pinot Grigio and states she would have come with her own supply and Alex backs Ramona up by saying, "Yeah, when I meeting up with Ramona I always have a bottle of Pinot Grigio with me LOL" Cindy just lacks in humor.
As the scene continues it just gets weird. No one would engage with Ramona?? LuAnn talks in her interview that you never know which person you are going to get when Ramona has been drinking but Ramona seemed fine to me??
Listen, we don't watch these shows to see people ride a horse or quads. No conversations took place and it was boring. Kelly ran away from Ramona like a TEN year old. Kelly wouldn't even let Ramona speak?? I did feel bad for Ramona at the table when Cindy brought up the brunch the next day. Cindy was wrong for asking about the Brunch. Cindy knew damn well that Ramona was not invited and then to play dumb. I am not sure how I feel about Cindy at this point?? I loved the way Ramona told Kelly straight to her face that she continued to include her and was trying to extend the branch. Kelly needs to grow up!
In my opinion Howie ran away from Ramona like a little wimp. For Godsakes be a man and talk with a lady. My husband would never have shunned a woman in that manner and he would have allowed a woman to have her say. I think Howie needs to grow some balls! I love people who agree to be on camera and then run when it gets too intense. He only wants to be on camera saying, "Hey, birthday girl,'Happy birthday'" You know, looking dapper and cool! It makes me wonder if Cindy and Howie did the reality show for business reasons?? Oh, silly me of course they did! Here is some advice to Howie and Cindy, "you have to play the game or you will find yourself on the chopping block, so thank your lucky stars Ramona is pulling you in!!"
In my opinion Cindy's party would have been cut by Bravo without Ramona!!
The party at Quogue would have been A SNORE! Oh, and please note I don't think you have to have combative situations or fights but you have to have CONVERSATIONS and they have to be deeper than "Do you ride horses or quads?" AND, "Do you drink wine?" I mean we need a little more to go on than those boring type of conversations. Cindy is going to have to engage. Either open up about her life or something???
Oh, and by the way SONJA did not make it to Quogue, WONDER WHY??? LOL
