Bethenny Ever After!
Bethenny is a bit of a train wreck, don't you think?? Listen, I feel bad for Jason and I don't. They are newly married after a whirlwind courtship. They quickly fell in love. And, let's face it they had an oops baby late in life that they absolutely adore BUT they don't know each other all that well. Bethenny has a lot of baggage BUT that doesn't make Jason perfect by no means. My point, they are a couple in their first year of marriage with a new born figuring each other out. Not always easy or fun. To top it off they are doing a reality show and Jason truly does not know where Bethenny the person begins and where Bethenny the BRAND ends. MEANING, he is confused with the "I don't like a lot of attention, really I don't, I know that sounds odd." I think Jason was as stunned as,we, the viewers and the people standing in the room were. How, does a person who seems to be a huge fame whore, doing every talk show, every reality show stand up and say such a statement??? It is baffling to say the least??
In addition,Bethenny needs some serious therapy time, off camera, when it comes to sorting out her mother and father issues. It seems to me that if at the age 40 she still allows it to affect her birthday than she needs her childhood confronted and dissected!
Anyway, back to the party. I can understand Bethenny not wanting the fuss but just say it. This "I come from a Place of Yes" is getting old. Bethenny claiming Shawn insisted and Jason really wanted it was a little much. At some point in life you have to learn that "no" is appropriate and maybe that is a bigger problem for Bethenny, learning how to say "no"? In addition, I think the party was for Bravo and filming.
Also, I think Bethenny has serious issues including Jason's parents. If you notice she has not warmed up to them and her birthday DAY, the day she TRULY enjoyed did not include them and I don't think she would have enjoyed a simple dinner including them, do you?? I think Bethenny wants to shutdown and just be the three of them.
Now, the one thing that I noticed and it seemed to cut deep with Bethenny was her close friend, (sorry can't remember her name she was her maid of honor) saying, "I am a better friend because I dropped everything and made it to your party and you did not make it to mine." WOW!!! The woman was not joking. She has been hurt by Bethenny. Bethenny is a taker. Period. She is the type of friend that is always "CRAZY BUSY" You know the type. You get those excuses from those friends all the time, right? Here is what they say, "I am so sorry, life is crazy busy right now and if I could make it I would be there because you know I love you but I just have all this crap going on and I can't get out of the commitments but you know I love you." And, then, I bet Bethenny sends a big fat bouquet or gift and thinks that makes it ALL OKAY! Which is ironic because Bethenny can say NO to her friends and what she considers little insignificant stuff, such as showers and birthday parties.
Therefore, Bethenny may be awesome as a BRAND and talking with FANS but not really sure how well she handles what matters in life, the close people around her??? (And sorry, I don't count Julie, Julie is on payroll) It makes a person wonder?? I mean, when you are SELLING a book, alcohol,DVD's and so on it is important to be active on FACEBOOK and TWITTER and it is important to be sweet and open with FANS because they get on Twitter and pass it along how great Bethenny is, trust me word of mouth is the best referral in the world. I will say this again, I admire Bethenny for her business savy. I think she has that down flat. I do not think that Bethenny is a good friend but for her sake I hope she figures out how to be a good wife.
