The Real Housewives of Orange County!
Listen, I pretty much assume if you are reading then you watched the episode being written about. Therefore, I don't really do recaps with my blog posts. In addition, when I am spouting my views I don't go into a ton of details because, well, once again, I am assuming you watched the episode. With that being said, then, you understand I write my posts like I am in the middle of conversation with you about the latest episode.
So, let's get yacking about The Real Housewives of Orange County and Sunday, March 20th episode!
It seemed that this episode was an incite into the relationships of some of the women. We seemed to get a little more glimpses of more of the women than others but all in all we got some bits and pieces on each lady.
I am still trying to figure out the newest addition,Peggy Tanous. This week we saw her interact with Alexis and Gretchen. They had a little shopping adventure and all went relatively well. Gretchen lambasted Peggy in her interviews because she is one of those older women wearing dresses too short and thigh high boots. I have to agree with Gretchen. At some point women have to accept that they outgrow the short dress and high heels and it becomes 'skanky' looking. Although,Gretchen is getting awful damn close to skanky looking in her shorts up her ass and top tied up at the belly button. Gretchen is no longer the cute 20 something gal, either (LOL). Oh, and Alexis and the white shirt dress with her husband, WOW! Talk about a short dress, yikes!!! Oh, well, back to Gretchen picking on Peggy dressing inappropriate and then Peggy cracking on Gretchen being the 'GLAM' girl with the big hair and all the makeup and shit. I am thinking that Peggy and Gretchen are going to have an interesting relationship! (LOL)
I agree with Peggy that Alexis has serious competition issues. Alexis is the lady in the bunch that always has to 'one up' everyone in a story. Now, Gretchen was sharing way too much sexual information but she asked a legitimate question to the married ladies with kids, "How do you do IT with the kids around all the time?"
Peggy gave an honest answer. "You have it when and where you can" Peggy went on to give an example of escaping to the closet. Of course, Alexis had to one-up by saying her and Jim do IT in the closet frequently but then turn around and say she still has time to tie the guy up??? WTF??? Peggy is a good friend because I would start calling Alexis out on her bullshit. Oh, and I loved Gretchen with the "leave it to Alexis who lives on Jesus Lane to be tying up Jim?" I think even Gretchen is getting sick of Alexis's bullshit!
Onto to Alexis! Oh, my gosh, this woman is A MESS!!! Who in their right mind says they are their husbands best accessory??? Alexis was actually comparing herself to watches, WATCHES!! God, I don't think I would even say that JOKINGLY but she was not joking. Alexis is miserable and she just won't admit. It is becoming sad to watch her and as a Catholic it is frustrating to watch her try to justify everything with RELIGION. I am not sure if she is brainwashed? Or stupid? Or scared? Or confused? OR a combination of those things but I feel for Alexis because she is trying soooooo hard to LOVE her life and she doesn't.
Tamra and Vicki are trying to become friends AGAIN because of filming the show??? I think these two women would have gone separate ways but filming the show keeps them in the loop and they don't like the other women so they figure they will try to repair their friendship, at least that is my take on the situation. In addition, the two women are in different points of life. Vicki has raised her family and is a very busy business woman. Tamra is still raising her children and she works because she has no choice. I, honestly, don't think these two women have a whole lot in common, except the show. Anyway, Tamra and Vicki getting together to chat gave us some incite into their lives. Tamra informed Vicki that she was getting serious with Eddie but had not introduced him to the children yet and Vicki thought that was great. We learned that Vicki was remodeling her home with hopes of selling and she didn't give a shit what Don thought. Big clue as to how well that marriage is going.
We then saw glimpses of Don chilling at home and loving it but Vicki stating that she was over the home and wanted to live somewhere more exciting. How sad to watch a marriage fall apart again. I don't know about you guys but I am getting tired of watching marriages fail. It is a shame that Vicki doesn't want to enjoy life with her husband. I know it takes two to make a marriage work and I am sure Don is not perfect but we only see Vicki and she lacks heart and she doesn't really tell us why???
Now, Gretchen and Slade. Oh, I hate to say this but I feel bad for Slade. I know, I know, he is slimy Slade BUT 'hear' me out for a moment. I think Slade, just might be genuinely in love with Gretchen?? He does seem to want to marry her?? I think Gretchen is being unnecessarily cruel to him with all her remarks and treating him like a boytoy,she might push a little too much. Actually, I think Gretchen is full of herself. Comments such as, "It gets hard and soft according to my mood" GROSS and a little to "I control the guy" for my liking. In addition, Gretchen playing the "I want to Lease" game, well, is just that, a game. My suggestion to Slade, "Leave her". I don't think she loves him and he needs to walk out. I really think Gretchen is playing Slade and I just don't believe that people should PLAY each other.
I, obviously left Tamra Barney for last. Tamra is a woman that cannot be alone. PERIOD. I feel bad for Simon. They have three children together and the mother of his children is acting like a slut on national television. Call me old fashion but I ask you, "Would you want your mother discussing her sexual wants on television and then doing IT on air?" Tamra going on about wanting to "Hump" Eddie just made me sick. Then, watching Tamra and Eddie make out in front of Marcus?? YUCK! I felt bad for Marcus. I wanted Marcus to have a shot of Tequila!
The ultimate disgust was the bathtub scene. Tamra is a mother and her behavior is despicable. I am glad Eddie "kissed her back to life" but calling him her soulmate??? REALLY! What a joke! If you can't make it through the rough times with a guy then you don't know how to have a relationship. Tamra just wants to always have a honeymoon period with a man. That is not life! Will EDDIE be her soulmate when they have to parent together?? It is easy to be great together now because the two of them are living the singles life. Neither of them bring their lives to the table. They see each other only when they do not have their kids. In other words, they have sex all weekend on their weekends off from parenting, (man, divorce sounds fun (LOL).) I just can't help but wonder if Tamra and Eddie will continue to be soulmates and happy, happy, happy in 15 years after they have raised each other-kids and have fought and have had money problems and you know have weathered life?? Oh, wait, Tamra has yet to do that with any man!
I can't wait to see how all these relationships continue to work out this season, oh, and Gretchen better not hold her breath for that apology from Tamra because she will be dead from no air (LOL)
But, most of all I hope we don't have to view anymore of Tamra's sexcapades!!!!
