Two Finales and a Premiere!

Two Finales and a Premiere!

Two Bravo Reality shows wrapped up their seasons this week.  The Real Housewives of  Atlanta and Tabatha's Salon Takeover.  With the ending of these shows Bravo is gearing up for the beginning of seasons and even airing a brand spanking new show, The Real Housewives of Miami!

So, let us take a look at the endings!  Should we do the good first or the bad??  I am going with the bad!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta sucked.  There is no other way to say it!!!  If I was Andy Cohen I would fire all of them except NeNe Leakes.  Please, 'hear' me out.  NeNe stated that the Housewives series are set up in a manner in which the ladies are suppose to give their OPINIONS about each other.  NeNe has held true to this concept.  Love or hate her she states her opinions and at times I agree with her and at times I don't, gee, seem familiar?  Now, the problem, NeNe has become somewhat, the 'star' of the show.  In my opinion this led the other ladies to collude with each other and their goal was to make NeNe look bad at the reunion.  They decided to barely talk about each other.  They only attacked NeNe.  Unfortunately NeNe didn't bite and through it all it was boring.
I found it hilarious when Phaedra tried to nail NeNe for talking 'smack' about her husband and NeNe kept saying, "I do believe all the women had something to say about Apollo."  How true!  On the other hand, Phaedra said some serious shit about Kim all season and yet the two sat there like best buddies.  Kandi, God love her, is just a bore and she is trying to use the 'sex talk' as a way to stay interesting but out of the drama.  It is not working.  Unfortunately, Sheree definitely needs to be let go.  She could have skipped the reunion and no one would have noticed.  Poor Cynthia, she is in the same situation as Sheree.  Of course, Kim is Kim and she definitely has drama but wasn't bringing any of it to the reunion.
Bottom line,The reunion sucked and it is time to find new blood in Atlanta but NeNe definitely should stay.  She is willing to play the game.  The game has always been to give your opinion about your fellow castmates and NeNe loves to give her opinion (LOL).  The other ladies need to remember what The Real Housewives is built on, even some ladies from Beverly Hills need to remember the number one rule, gossip about your castmates! (cough, cough Adrienne Maloof).

Off to the good season ending show!!  Tabatha's Salon Takeover.  Yes, Yes, we all know I like this show and I like Tabatha.  Now, that I have let you know that I am partial to Tabatha I would like to say that I did enjoy the season finale.  I enjoyed it for one reason and one reason only I got a glimpse of some old Salons that Tabatha bailed out in previous seasons!!!  I have always wanted to know what happens after the six week visit.  I want to know if they really make money? Or,  Do the owners just go back to their old ways?  Do some Salons close?  It was great to get a glimpse!!
Oh, and as a viewer we got an even split.  Two salons are flourishing and two are not flourishing.   One Salon was so touched by Tabatha's influence that they do a lot of charity AND Tabatha received the KEY to the city.  The first Key to the city to have ever been given out.  What an honor.  Tabatha must have felt great.  She inspired owners to save their business, get involved in their community and they didn't forget their inspiration.
Another Salon owner was so thankful he proposed, now of course it was all in fun, but he made his point.
Now, the failures.  The one failure, the owner slipped back to his old ways.  Tabatha grabbed the keys and tried again.  He claims he gets it but pretty sure that was lip service.  He clearly thinks his way is better.
The last Salon, all I can say is WOW.  The first time Tabatha went to the salon I thought the owner was a piece of work and let's just say the follow up proved it.  This owner lost her business but bold face lied to Tabatha about losing the business.  Her claim was she moved???  Tabatha tracked down the former staff members to get the 'real deal' and it was clear the owner went off the deep end.  If you saw the first go around you certainly were not surprised by that fact.
Anyway, I enjoyed catching up with Salons I have seen throughout Tabatha's last few seasons, I thought they did a nice recap of each Salon and then the up to date reveal!!!  One, nitpick I do have, I just want a little more detail on the success.  How do they judge success?  Is it just the owner's word?  It would be nice if Tabatha really checked to see if the Salons were turning the business around with sales and numbers!!  Just me, liking a little more FACTS then subjective words!!

Onto the Premiere episode of Real Housewives of Miami.  Unfortunately, these ladies did not grab me like the Beverly Hills Housewives BUT it is their first episode.  I will watch a few more.  For me, it usually takes time to get to know the women.  The first episode is usually me trying to get a feel for the women.  I must say they seem interesting.  Larsa Pippen is my favorite but it is only the First episode (LOL).  Alexia Echevarria is my least favorite, again, first episode only!!  But, Alexia was odd about her boys, just odd.  I mean, I can't even fully express my thoughts on her oddness.  Adrianna De Moura, she seems like a little spitfire.  I have a feeling I am going to like her at times and at other times think she is not so great (LOL).  Lea Black, whacked.  So far, that is the impression I get of her.  She should be fun to watch!!  Marysol Patton, I am not sure about her and her mom???  Did anyone else have trouble understanding her mom??  Oh, and what about that conversation with her mom??  It was a weird chat, even how that sat.  Marysol in that hard desk or dining room chair and her mom in a reading chair??  Wouldn't you like sit in the living room or family room on comfortable chairs and talk??  It was odd.
Have you noticed the words I keep using with these women, odd, whacked and weird so maybe there is hope for these Miami gals or maybe they are just to out there for us to relate??  We shall see!!
