Tabatha's Salon Takeover: Concerto and the Bossy Cow!

Tabatha's Salon Takeover: Concerto

Tabatha Coffey takes over another on the brink of closure.  This is nothing new for Tabatha.  Matter of fact if you are reading this I am going to assume you are a fan of Tabatha's Salon Takeover and therefore you know the drill.  I am even going to assume you watched the Concerto episode!

So, Let's chat!!

Where do you want to start??  The mousey owner, Nik??  Or the Bossy Cow, (Tabatha's pet name) hair Stylist, Sabina?  Oh, or what about the silent partner,THE WIFE, that dumped the cash into the salon, yikes?  Or, no, what about the crybaby daughter, Natasha???  Or, the drinking staff??

I am going to talk about the Crybaby daughter first.  Natasha!  I felt sorry for her BUT her Dad was not being an owner and Natasha needed to deal with it!

Onto the lovely staff who put all the blame on Sabina and Tabatha seemed to agree. Since I like Tabatha Coffey I will give Tabatha the benefit of the doubt.   BUT if the owner was failing as an owner and THE STAFF was clearly being immature and drinking on the salon floor during business hours, not showing up on time and so on it seemed to me that Sabina was the only person that  tried to step up and work and run the business??  Now wait, hear me out!!!

NOW, let us talk about Sabina.  It was clear that SABINA did not have the proper skills to be an owner BUT she was NOT the owner and she seemed to be trying.  She was doing payroll.  Sabina was handling the software.  Sabina in her UNFORTUNATE  inappropriate ways was trying and yet she seemed to be the scapegoat??? Yes, she cussed and spoke inappropriately with the boss but those things can be reigned in just as much as drinking on the Salon floor, right???

I must admit I was baffled by Tabatha??  She seemed to attack Sabina instead of trying to calm her and work with her but Tabatha was way more patient with the staff that was immature.  See, I have no patience for employees that sit around and drink and clink glasses and toast their boss in a sarcastic manner.  Yes, Sabina was wrong too but she seemed to have the Salon's interest in her heart through her madness so why not try to work with her?? The other staff members seemed blase and immature and they were rebelling against Sabina BUT HURTING BUSINESS.  How about being mature and talking with the owner and Sabina??

Anyway, sometime there is no rhyme or reason with Tabatha?  I don't know if someone rubs her the wrong way or she doesn't care for other strong women but it is odd the people she tolerates and the people she does not tolerate.  For instance, Carrie, participated in the inappropriate fight and Danielle was in with the drinking crowd and Tabatha seemed very gentle with these two young ladies??  Or, Tabatha didn't seem to point out that the 22 year experienced stylist should have known better about drinking on the floor and toasting to the negligent boss??  That is not good for the business.  I would have definitely called her out.  Oh and the whiny daughter??  Step up for your father.  As a a daughter she has a stake in the situation.  You lead by example, not crying and hiding in a corner!  Maybe the apple doesn't fall far from the tree??   Just a few other employees I would have addressed along with Sabina!

Overall, The stylist were lazy and Sabina was doing too much because Nik, the owner CHOSE NOT TO DO ANYTHING.  Then, the staff resented Sabina but still loved and respected the owner who was not doing anything for HIS OWN BUSINESS?? Kind of sad and I do think Sabina got the short end of the stick.  Bottom line, they all needed to work together and Nik needed to STEP and BE AN OWNER.  I know this episode was labeled a success but I doubt Nik can keep it up.  I just got the impression Nik himself was lazy.  Nik didn't want to do the chores that go along with ownership.  Personally, I think it would have been better to reign Sabina in and use her managerial skills and actually give her the proper status over the lazy staff.   Remeber, They made their choices too! Drinking is a huge offense in my opinion and being late for work?? Why are adults late?? Irresponsible.

Also, I never really felt Nik HAVING THE PASSION to save the Salon??  Did you??  I mean he turned to his wife and asked if she wanted to just take the loss??  I truly believe He would have taken the loss if she said yes!  Do you guys agree??

Anyway,  I am glad Tabatha gave Nik a month with the Self Defense trainer.  I always hope the Salon makes it!! I believe in the small business owner!! I am wishing all the best for  Concerto and I think it could succeed if Nik remains in control BUT I do think he will need Sabina's help.  I think Nik needs a Salon manager.  There is a difference between owner duties and manager duties.  Unfortunately, I don't think Nik can handle both and his staff needs reigned in.

Lastly, I believe they used Sabina as the scapegoat.  If she truly was the sole problem then she should have been fired and a salon manager hired.

Oh, well, enough with Concerto.

I am so excited for the season finale!! I am STOKED!!  I can't wait to see how some of the Salons are doing from previous seasons!!
