Real Housewives of Atlanta" Not So Fine Print!
Here are a just a few of my points of interest!
1. Kandi Burruss: Honesty! "Kandi, it is time to be honest with Kim."
It is obvious that Kim drives Kandi nuts. I mean Kandi does not respect Kim's work ethic and Kandi just rolls her eyes and makes little digs about Kim. Just tell her. But, Kandi's interview was very TELLING. You know when Phaedra was 'going off' on Kim with Kandi?? Then Bravo cuts away to Kandi's interview and she states that Phaedra better be ready for Kim's WRATH. I think Kandi doesn't want to deal with the WRATH of KIM and therefore she is careful how far she pushes it with her comments. I am irritated to no end with Kandi and her lack of gumption with Kim!!!
2. NeNe and Cynthia?? The entire relationship is silly! Or I dare say, a little ODD!! The Friend contract?? WEIRD!! But, NeNe running to Kim?? EVEN MORE weird?? NeNe telling Cynthia that she made fun of it with Kim, weird? NeNe using the Friend Contract as a way to discuss the Friend Contract, WTF??? Cynthia claiming IT was a joke?? Um, yeah, no. It certainly did not seem like a joke and maybe in retrospect Cynthia realized it was silly but I don't think she was joking at the original time of the Friend Contract scene. Cynthia has no backbone with NeNe. Cynthia had every right to be pissed with NeNe for telling Kim about the Friend Contract and yet Cynthia backed down on that fight. The entire scene was irritating!!
AND then it only got worse when Kim and Cynthia was fighting over NeNe at the spa. How many of you wanted to just scream at Kim and Cynthia?? C'mon raise your hand!!! NeNe loved every second of that fight. Kandi was stunned by Kim and her bullshit, 'I'm going to protect my friend NeNe'?? Um, yeah, the so called friend that you claimed tried to strangle you?? The entire scene was weird. And, I was irritated by the fact that NeNe didn't stop it. I would have been embarrassed if two women would have been behaving like that about me, silly behavior for sure!!!
3. Sheree buying furniture for her daughter! Typically, I would not have a problem with this scene. Unfortunately for Sheree, WE, the viewers, know a lot about her finances. Sheree has had her car repossessed and she is not paying her bills. Therefore with this knowledge this scene is perplexing?? Obviously, Sheree has problems budgeting her money and it is nice to want to help your child out BUT if you lack the funds then maybe she should have just bought the couch for her. In addition, I wonder if Sheree did this to have a SCENE for Bravo??
4. Phaedra!!! Oh, my! Listen, Phaedra is a firecracker! For whatever reason Phaedra did not want to admit that she was pregnant before she got married?? I think because of her parents. Unfortunately, Phaedra should have realized people would have talked and being on reality show was only going to increase the talk. She needed to own it and move on. Like she eventually, said, "It isn't the 50's anymore, what is the big deal?" The big deal was her need to hide it BUT and I know many won't agree with this BUT I do understand her frustration with Kim. Kim, who by most conventional standards, is the last person in Phaedra's eyes, who should be throwing stones. I think Phaedra feels that Kim leads a very immoral life and even though Phaedra may feel hers lacks perfection she feels that Kim is beneath her and cannot believe that Kim has the nerve to even begin to mouth about Phaedra's life AND on top of it Phaedra feels she has been pretty quiet about Kim and her lack of morals. Now, one thing, Kim can dish it but can't take it. As far as discussing morals?? Nah, I am not going there but I do believe that Kim LOVES to get up in ALL their business BUT no one is suppose to touch her SHIT. Kim gets angry if you talk about her children and yet she puts them on a reality show. Kim gets angry if you discuss Big Poppa and yet she brought him into the forefront. Kim got angry when the women wanted details about her affair with the DJ and once again ALL KIM'S doing!! Anyways, my point is that Kim LOVES to get up in all their faces but don't throw it back at her. She was pissed when Phaedra said Big Poppa was in financial trouble and hit Phaedra with the CONVICT statement. I must admit Phaedra did not seem upset by that jab.
Onto Phaedra and her Southern Belle image?? She is a character because every episode she blows that image more and more!! Gotta love she knows a stripper that can perform quite the deed!!!! But, what I love even more are the women who love to act so HOT and WILD, for example Kim, and yet they seem to be the most shocked? Phaedra, just says it, like, yep, I know the stripper and boy is it fun. I kind of like Phaedra. As much as she says things THAT I DON'T always agree with, I like the fact that Phaedra has chosen to be PHAEDRA. I am not so sure she is FAKEDRA. I am not sure all the other women are honest with who they are on television and I do believe that Bravo has chosen to pick Phaedra's most outlandish scenes and comments, wouldn't you if you were a producer???
5. NeNe! I enjoyed the scene with her trying to get celebrities and her joking around with the boys. The young gentleman with her son was adorable. He obviously was missing NeNe's sarcasm and he still is a concrete thinker. Therefore, it was cute when she asked if he had the celebrity number and he dead panned, "No". It was a natural comedic scene. It was nice to hear NeNe admit that it was hard for her to get interviews and she didn't enjoy that part of her job. I must admit I am on the fence with NeNe at times. She is seasoned with filming now and not sure how REAL she is and how much is a FACE for the cameras??
Overall, this point in the season NeNe, Kim and Phaedra seem to bring the most interesting scenes to watch. Kandi, I like her but she seems to be a side player. I do enjoy watching her music but I do wonder what will happen if she doesn't have Kim to deal with next year?? Sheree started off decent but now that Dr.Love is gone she is falling into boring and Cynthia has done nothing for me this season. In all honesty I could care less if Cynthia comes back. Oh, in addition, I can see why Kim and NeNe wouldn't like Phaedra. She is outlandish and says what she wants. Both NeNe and Kim know that this plays WELL on REALITY TELEVISION. Hey, it is survival of the fittest. It is a jungle out there!!
