Project Runway down to the Final Four was a snore. I mean it is pretty sad when Mondo can sleep for 2 hours and still pull off an awesome dress! Honestly, this episode sucked. It was so predictable.
We watched the 5 designers piss and moan about being so close and so tired and how much they wanted it for an hour and a half. I was over it. We all knew April would end up going home, right?? I like April but in all honesty week after week she skirted by because someone else screwed up worse. April made the same thing over and over and never really got called on it because like I said week after week another designer would screw up and little Miss April would be safe. April was safe because she played it safe while those other designers were TRYING and it cost them BUT in the end when it came down to it April was going to have to go. Safe doesn't cut it.
Now, I can't stand Gretchen Jones but I knew that there was no way in hell that April would make it IN over Gretchen and therefore it was definitely a done deal when the bottom three were standing there, especially when they sent Andy away as safe. So, once again the show was boring, really there was no, "oh, I wonder who is going home???" Nah, it was obvious. No excitement at the end of the show. Not good for Project Runway!
Well, we are down to the four. I love it that Michael C. is there. Why? I think that many of these designers came in all cerebral and technical. What have they learned? Sometimes being creative is all it takes. Michael C. has the INSTINCTS. The dress he made was SIMPLY beautiful. Gretchen Jones doesn't get it. I am woman and I loved that dress. That dress was flowy and sexy. I actually liked it over Mondo's and Andy's and to be honest Gretchen's urban chic look was pathetic.
Unfortunately,I have a feeling Gretchen will be one of the three which makes me ill but I really hope Michael C. is too. In the end I am hoping either Andy or Gretchen gets cut. I believe that Andy is kind of like April, one dimensional. I felt that we saw the same look from Andy all season too. Therefore, my three would be Mondo, Michael C. and Gretchen but since I can't stand the girl I wouldn't mind it if she got cut and it was Andy!!
Well, this season is just about over! I stuck with it and I must say it hasn't been one of my favorites. What are your thoughts about Season 8 of Project Runway???
