The Real Housewives of Atlanta was all about blind eyes.
First some housekeeping issues. What I like to call overall observations.
Have you noticed the Housewives seem to have 'token' friends? I am not sure what is up? Either Bravo does not want to deal with REAL friends and family or REAL friends and family don't want involved but it seems to me the Housewives have had to find people to do segments with in order to be filmed. Kim and her assistant/friend?? Sheree and her hair stylist. Phaedra has hooked up with NeNe's old buddy Dwight. It does seem that NeNe has the housewives and Gregg so far but remember she use to have Dwight. Kandi has yet another record producer. We still haven't seen much of the new gal, Cynthia so not sure if she has a 'token' friend yet??
Now, the other observation. Have you noticed how much EVERYONE is looking at the cameras this year??? ANNOYING!!! I mean you can really tell they are thinking about the cameras and are very conscious of their presence!
Okay, now that my observations are over on to the latest episode.
Real Housewives of Atlanta opened with Kim and her assistant jogging. What the hell?? It is clear that Kim does not jog but their conversation was quite entertaining. Kim's head has grown with the so called success of Tardy for the Party. Kim is thinking she is quite the Star and her assistant feeds that ego. They both decided they look good and didn't need the exercise and better yet they needed to sit their asses on a bench, smack dab in the middle of town and have a beer! You go KIm, You rock and you are quite the MOTHER figure. Later in the show Kim gets offered to sing in front of 10,000.00 people. She thinks this is awesome and an honor. Um, did she ask if she gets to lip sync or if they have the ability to auto tune the mics?? I hope she did and Bravo edited it out for her sake but then knowing Kim and seeing how she really believes she is a big singer/star now I have a feeling she believes she CAN SING (LOL).
Honestly I don't remember what scene came next (LOL). We will just move on to Sheree Whitfield. Miss Sheree has her stylist come over to help her get ready for, wait for it, a BLIND DATE. Of course, the stylist acts all surprised and Sheree explains that it is TIME to date and the stylist says, "Gotta get those pipes cleaned every once in while" but you know Sheree claims it has been hard because there really isn't anyone in Atlanta worth her TIME. Can you imagine that??? Sheree just can't find herself a suitable man in all of Atlanta because her standards are just above ATLANTA men (read with sarcasm please).
We then hear the guy is a doctor and he wants to take her dancing BUT poor Sheree she is really WHITE, meaning she can't dance. I am kind of wondering if a White woman would have said, "I'm really black because I can dance awesome" If people would have gotten upset with a white woman stereotyping??? Oh, well, I have gotten sidetracked. Sheree gets herself all dolled up and ends up going to a 'down to earth place' and she gets Kroger flowers all of which Sheree feels very above! Sheree informs us that she stays and tolerates the guys laugh because he is 'easy' on the eyes. The gentleman then professes his love for his kids, teaches her to dance and explains why he didn't take her to a fancy place and low and behold Sheree asks for a second date but man she still gave it to the guy in her interviews, go figure!
Off to Kandi! We get to see Kandi working her tale off for her new album. She explains that she doesn't want to the iTunes route. Nope, Kandi wants to be a real ARTIST and have an album. Go figure. But then this where I get confused with Kandi Burruss. See, Kandi is in the music business and has been for years, correct?? So, why the hell did she give up rights to "Tardy for the Party"? Did she think it would flop? Did she think it would be a silly little flash in the pan? I think Kandi underestimated iTunes, the phenomenon of Real Housewives and the fact that it is a cute little catchy dance song. In addition, Kim is a pretty popular Housewife. But, back to my original statement, oh, what was that, Kandi has been in the business for years why would she just let go of her song?? Why didn't she get her lawyer to counter Kim's lawyer?? Honestly, that is how it works. Kandi knows better. Well, it was nice to hear Kandi say that Kim could never take the 'training wheels' off and now we know why Dallas the other very established producer went running!
It was nice to see Kandi sing at the club but I have to agree with Sheree that at that venue it was hard to hear her but a bar is a bar is a bar!
Which leads us to Cynthia Bailey! Ohmygosh, what a trip. Supermodel that has settled in Atlanta?? Oh, and she is going to make Atlanta the next New York?? WTF?? Sorry, just say "I modeled when I was younger, now I am settling down and yes I still can do some modeling from Atlanta." Some people just can't grow old gracefully. Although, I must say she is beautiful. I loved how she helped in her boyfriend's kitchen (sarcasm). He would do better if she DIDN'T Help Of course all the talk about to get married or not to get married is a snore. THEY GOT MARRIED but gosh if he watches the scenes he may want to draw up some divorce papers (LOL). Guess, he should be happy she couldn't come up with any reasons NOT to get married. My he is a lucky guy (once again, read with sarcasm.)
Side Note: You know should read my blogs with sarcasm a lot (lol)
Okay back to business, let's see who is left?? Oh, yeah Phaedra and NeNe!
Phaedra Parks was kind of non existent this episode. It was clearly the episode to setup Cynthia and then the regulars took center stage. Which is smart. Bravo is easing the two new ones in but c'mon it was great how they dropped the "Oh, my gosh Phaedra's husband was in jail for six years?" bomb on the housewives. Now that was really good. I don't care who you are that is gossip among women. Kim though, man she can play the dumb blonde part well, because um, she many not really be BLONDE but I think we all know she REALLY lacks a brain. "How would lawyer meet a criminal?" I don't know Kim, who the hell uses Lawyers???
Oh, I did enjoy the scene of Phaedra helping the gentleman for the marijuana charge. You know, maybe NeNe shouldn't have been talking so much smack about Phaedra??
On to NeNe Leakes. I must say I found her to be the highlight of last night's show (October 11th). It was all laid out on the table last night by NeNe. Everything is going wrong for NeNe. Her two biggest problems. Gregg and Bryce. We knew from the first episode and we saw a little bit with Gregg in the first episode but I must say I felt for NeNe with her son. Parenting is hard. I have two children. A 22 year old son and a 19 year old daughter. I have been blessed to have had no problems with my children. Neither have ever had alcohol or drug issues. Never have missed curfew or anything. My point, parenting is hard. Her tears made me tear up. I don't like to judge other parents. I think NeNe has tried and without having all the facts of how Bryce was raised,well, I just felt bad for NeNe. I do applaud her with kicking him out and trying but I felt bad that Gregg was not there to lend her support. Once again, Parenting is hard. Bryce seems to be going down a very wrong path and NeNe deep down knows it. That is why she asked, "Do you even know what the problem is?" Unfortunately, NeNe is like most moms and she still wants to believe her child. She wants to believe he didn't know the marijuana was in his pants because she wants to believe he isn't that FAR GONE. A side note: rumors are that he actually had a weapon?? I am not a reporter and I do not pull up arrest reports so I have just read this information. I cannot swear that is correct. It does seem fishy that he would be arrested for a small amount of marijuana but I do not know the laws and will not proclaim to know the laws, especially when visiting a person in jail. Although, Bryce visiting a friend in jail says a lot about the people Bryce is choosing to hang out with. Once again, I think NeNe is still putting on some blinders with her son.
Now, the Gregg and Dwight issue. There is way more there than meets the eye. Dwight seemed genuinely sorry and it seems that Gregg hid information from his wife too. All betrayals that are rough on NeNe and worse because she is now in the public eye. NeNe felt betrayed by Dwight and even more so because of the public eye situation and I think Dwight knows it. The entire story is not being told but NeNe definitely has felt betrayed and she is dumping most of it on Dwight because right now she wants to desperately try to save whatever she can with her and Gregg. She is probably putting on blinders there too.
Okay, now I still am confused with $500.00 and $10,000.00?? Who is lying and where did Kim come up with such a number and when is Kim going to be asked about her part in it?? I mean I know that something went down but I would be in Kim's face saying, um, $10,000.00?? Because, you know damn well Kim spread that around to others! See, you just know that Kim and NeNe can't be friends for too long (LOL)
