The Housewife I want Booted

posted by RF Club, Group AdministratorFriday, October 1st 2010 @ 4:54 PM (not yet rated)

The Housewife I truly can't stand. Drum Roll Please...... Michaele Salahi and her pathetic husband Tareq. This couple makes my stomach turn. In addition, these two are the reason I chose not to watch The Real Housewives of D.C. all that much. I caught an episode here and there. On occasion, I just watched a few clips from some episodes. These two just ruined the entire series for me.

Now, Many of us Reality bloggers and tweeters have our favorite housewives and we have our not so favorite ones. We like to write about these Housewives and I will admit that from time to time my favorites and least favorites have switched places. In a way that is what is fun about The Real Housewives Series. In addition, in my opinion The Housewives are all a little eccentric. I mean that is why they are on a REALITY SHOW. I will be honest you wouldn't want to watch me or my life. I live a pretty, dull, 'normal' (if one can define normal) life. These ladies have to have some drama, some zing, some zip in their lives or we wouldn't watch. Right?? But, I think the point of it being called REAL HOUSEWIVES is we want it to be a tad bit RELATEABLE.

Okay, what the heck do I mean by the above statement?? Yes, The Housewives need to be a little 'out there' but only a little. We enjoy some of the over the top stuff! Such as, shopping sprees and gossiping about each other, oh and a good verbal fight between a Housewife or two is welcomed here and there. But what we really like is to watch is them handle their children and their spouses/boyfriends in everyday situations. Why? Because we can relate! For example, we could all relate to Tamra Barney freaking out about her son getting a Tattoo. Oh, and we debated it too. He was of age, she had no choice but we could understand how she felt as a mom. You know, you never stop being a mom. We all cringed when Jeana's son snapped at her for her surprise visit and yet those of us with older children can relate to embarrassing moments with our children. Oh, how many of us felt bad for Vicki's son when she popped in on him at college??? We all understood Jill trying to get Bobby and Ally closer even though we thought it was a lost cause. We all felt for Bethenny getting drunk before the big talk with Jason (remember that horrible dinner). Or what about when Bethenny just broke down with Alex when she had just broken up with Jason?? We all understood the pressures of Alex and Simon trying to find the best school for their child. We didn't mind Bravo sprinkling in the Botox, plastic Surgery or the Fancy trip that is what makes it over the top but then Bravo felt that they hit pay dirt with Teresa Giudice and the table flipping and things just went way left of center from that moment on.

We had the horrible season of New York. I hated watching the feud and Kelly's meltdown. Orange County was a mess too, the women seemed to become enemies with each other. It seems that they are all fighting for the spotlight and they think ripping each other apart will do it. Atlanta definitely followed suit with the wig pulling and such. Vicki Gunvalson said it best "The fun is gone, the fun is gone"

But, I think Bravo hit a new low if that was even possible with the Salahi's. Us bloggers pretty much dissect these Housewives and really that is their problem. The ladies have put themselves in the public eye and they have done it in the worst possible way, in my opinion. They have put their REAL LIVES on the line. Unlike actors, who are able to keep some of their life private or at least try to because they are just acting, it is not the case for Reality Stars. Unfortunately for Reality Stars their fame comes from them putting their REAL lives out there for the world to see and that means their REAL lives are going to be critiqued. Period. Actors deal with the microscope they live under. Reality Stars must learn to deal with it too and I will repeat it is worse because it is not their acting that is being critiqued. Nope. It is their life and it was their choice.

Anyways, back to Michaele Salahi and her husband Tareq. Why do I think this couple is the ultimate low for Bravo? This couple has proven that the Bravo producers do absolutely NO fact checking. In my opinion Bravo should fire some of their producers. The Salahi's were so desperate to be on the show that they manufactured everything about Michaele and themselves and the producers let it go. What is worse the producers underestimated their viewers. We the viewers do want SOME REALITY. They underestimated US to figure it out that it seems the Salahi's were lying. In addition, they underestimated our love and respect for OUR COUNTRY. Lines were crossed. We have real concerns that if the Salahi's pulled the shit they did to get into a White house event will other nut cases do such stunts and will this endanger our political figures and guests from other countries?? Security was breached. It is an embarrassment for our country and I won't watch it on Bravo and I didn't watch it and it seemed others felt the same way.

There was a REAL backlash against the Salahi's. What is amazing is that seems the Salahi's are just all around fake. The White house was just the tip of the iceberg. I have no respect for this couple. The Salahi's have not produced any proof for all of the accusations against them. The Black Caucus. The Washington Redskin fiasco and the Ultimate scandal the,The White house event. I do believe that it is obvious the White house just wants this to go away as quietly as possible because it is an embarrassment and they don't want it to happen again. The White house gave up a sacrificial lamb or scapegoat and this person did what any 'good soldier' does for the President, they take the bullet and resign. Desiree Rogers resigned from her position and she also took the bullet for the secret service. Below are many articles documenting proof that the Salahi's are not who they claim to be and these articles are by journalist. I did include one online journal, Radar Online but it is the Whoopi Goldberg incident and that incident was well documented and you can find it on Youtube too. In my opinion what set Michaele off with Whoopi and The View was the fact that the ladies would not let go of the White house incident. The Salahi's have trouble when they cannot control a situation and they try to deflect and turn it around by threatening to sue.

In my opinion, the Salahi's have serious mental issues and they cannot perceive a situation for what it is. Look at the clip that I have posted on the front. The Salahi's honestly want us to believe it was a gossip columnist that started a rumor about them attending the White house event uninvited and the rumor then led to an investigation and a person resigning??? Right?? All because of a rumor?? I mean, in my view if the Salahi's could have proven they had an invite why wouldn't they have just produced the invite?? Why get a lawyer? Better yet why didn't the lawyer say, "Show Congress your invite" Better yet why have a congressional hearing if it was just a rumor?? Why cost the taxpayers all this money just to be on BRAVO. I believe Bravo is just as guilty. Much of this would have gone away had Bravo just dropped them. They knew they were problematic when they couldn't get into the Black Caucus. That should have been a red flag. Right?? Oh, and tell me that not one of the Producers didn't start to wonder about Michaele at the Washington Redskin shoot?? You know the shoot in which no one knew Michaele?? Women form bonds and friendships. Not one of those women knew her?? C'mon ladies, I saw that clip, she never was a Redskin cheerleader and they all were confused as to what was going on. It was an odd shoot!

I hope that the Salahi's get booted off of The Real Housewives of D.C. and I am wishing that people would not buy their pathetic book. In my opinion Bravo should never have given the Salahi's their 15 minutes of fame. I am sincerely hoping it ends soon! My views are all based on many, many articles written about these people and a few shows I have seen of The Real Housewives of D.C. Below are a few of the articles but not all!

Wow, thanks Real Old Housewife!  Many of the Housewives get under my skin but I just feel that this couple went to an entirely different level and Bravo is guilty too!
