Wow Jersey Shore was full of bringing back the olden days this past week!
Vinny's mom came to visit and she brought along a few family members. I was never clear just how many family members came but it was a nice little clan and Uncle Nino was the crazy Uncle of the bunch. Throughout the episode we got some lessons on Italian culture and how Italian sons are raised. Now, if you watch Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey she tries to constantly claim she is passing on Italian traditions and yet half the shit she spews I have no clue what she is talking about it. It is odd because Teresa does come from Italy. Anyways, I have digressed. Back to Jersey Shore and the boys!! Most of the information came from Vinny and Pauly with a little sprinkled in from the rest of the crew and amazingly I found myself shaking my head in that knowingly nod of agreement to what they were saying. Vinny informed us he was the only son!! I am from Italian descent and I can attest to Vinny's statement that Italian mothers dote on their sons and ONLY sons, oh, my, they are golden. We referred to my brother (who was the only son) as the KING!!
Now, the important thing to have noticed when Vinny's mother came to town she cooked and she had all the girls help her!! It didn't even dawn on her to ask the boys!! Nope, she just put the ladies to work and those three girls were lost in the kitchen. The boys were loving every second of the cooking and the pampering. Oh, keeping all the good old fashioned ways alive!! Men still want the women in the kitchen!!!
Italian mothers. What can I say. Vinny's mom came with underwear and socks and her baby's favorites. God, it is just how they are, possessive mommy's!! When I got married my mother in law called me and said, "You don't need to buy underwear and socks for him you just call me. I know his favorites and I get them on sale." I shit you not. That phone call did not go over well. Not all daughter in laws or daughter in laws to be find mothers like Vinny's to be all that great!!!
Pauly was correct when saying, "If you are not use to Italian gatherings then they can be a bit overwhelming." When my sister in law married into our family she had a very hard time adjusting. She came from a small quiet family and we overwhelmed her. Not everyone can take all the loud talking and hand gestures and such.
The Hot tub scene was a bit much. JWOWW getting Uncle Nino all stirred up was gross. I think Snooki was a little jealous that Uncle Gino was going gaga all over JWOWW?? Oh, and a side note, "Did you think Angelina deliberately smacked the ball at Snooki?" I didn't think it was deliberate. Now, Angelina being Angelina, I don't think she was sorry or gave a crap but I just don't think she was aiming for Snooki. Snooki was acting all prissy and shit!
Well, since we jumped into the entire Angelina thing let's go there. I am so confused why the guys made such a big deal about Vinny&Angelina smooshing with her and they left Vinny off the hook??? Old Fashion bullshit being passed around the house. I get it. They don't like Angelina but in all honesty Vinny was talking shit about Angelina too. As usual, why is it okay for a guy to screw anything at anytime but when a girl does it she is a whore, slut and to use Ronnie's word a pimp?? I mean Angelina and Jose have not made a 'commitment' to each other and Angelina continues to say she is single. The guys are single and they have a shitload of one night stands. Hell, Ronnie was not single and he was doing all kinds of crap and the guys didn't give him the shit they gave Angelina for sleeping with Vinny??? It is sexist. Even the girls call her a whore. Snooki seems to think that if you don't let them 'get it in' on the first date you are not a whore but a second date is okay.
I think they all are WHORES!! GOT THAT! THAT MEANS THE GUYS TOO!!!
Anyways, I thought Mike or THE SITUATION was acting like an ass. How inappropriate to tell Jose. Why?? Let us ask Mike this, "If Pauly takes out that girl a few times should he not have any other girls back from the clubs in between dates?" Yeah, Mike double standard!
I thought it was sad how Mike was saying, "Angelina is Staten Island Ferry ride and you ride it for free." What is the difference with the guys?? The girls are getting it for free from YOU!!!
Oh, and by the way if they want to tease you they are doing that too. Those two girls took Mike and Pauly for a their ride. It was the tease game! The blonde was a bitch on the way out. She seemed like she had an agenda and it wasn't to have sex!
Oh, and since I stumbled into that scene how many of you thought Mike was like a two year old when Pauly was getting laid? What I found even more disturbing was Mike saying, "We always both bring girls home. It never happens that one of us gets it in'." That is sick-weird and then his behavior, WOW!!!
Pauly and Vinny looking for love! You know I am starting to get the impression that Vinny might be over the partying and getting laid by a different girl every other night. I noticed a couple of times he has talked about finding 'the girl'. Unfortunately I don't think Vinny is going to find her in a Miami bar but I guess stranger things have happened. Anyways, Pauly seemed to feel he met a different type of girl one of the nights out too. I guess it could happen? Not all the girls at the clubs are sluts like the Jersey girls. You know sometimes 'good' girls or wifey type girls like to go out, have a few drinks, dance and have some fun!! Oh, and they don't end up shit faced and in a strangers bed. Imagine that??
Oh, well, it was sad viewing Vinny calling the girl for the date but he never had a chance. He came on way too strong at the bar. All US women knew it. In addition Vinny flubbed asking her out. What was the "please go, I need a sympathy date" blah, blah blah. You just don't ask a girl out that way and then he calls her and begs, oh, that was really bad. Pauly nailed it when he asked his lady out. I know it must suck for a guy to have do the asking out and rejection sucks but you can't come across as needy. Oh, the old fashion ways of dating they still exist. It was cute to see the guys get haircuts and cleaned up for the date. Did you notice their chosen attire? I was impressed! The flowers were definitely a nice touch. Courting still does exist! I never thought I would say such a thing when writing a Jersey Shore post!!!! I felt bad for Vinny and he is right sometimes you just have to let a guy sulk! A good sulk feels great!!!
I must admit I did not miss the little presence of JWOWW and Snooki in this episode. I needed a little break. I know these two seem to be favorites but both can grate on my nerves. Snooki and her lack of intelligence isn't always funny. No, sometimes it is irritating to watch her ignorance. JWOWW and her "I'm a badass' grows old and like I said I enjoyed the break. We got just enough of the two of them that they wouldn't bitch that MTV left them out of an episode. I get the feeling these two are quite the Prima donna's. Oh, and even better, it has been totally great not having to watch Sammi and Ronnie fight or even be all lovey, dovey. Talk about the couple from hell!!!
Okay did anybody understand a word coming out of Uncle Nino?? I mean like, what the hell was that??? Was Uncle Nino for real??
