The word is out and everyone who is a fan of Bravo Reality knows that Patti Stanger is not getting married! Were any of you shocked?? I am not saying that to be mean, like, who in their right mind would marry Patti? (LOL).
No, I always wondered about the entire engagement? Patti Stanger and Andy Friedman dated for 4 years before the proposal even happened? I was always a little circumspect about the proposal? It seemed to happen after many of her clients barked, "You are not even married" at her when she was hounding them to do one of her sure fire methods of dating. Overall, it just seemed Patti got engaged to shut up her critics. Then, when the wedding date was moved back, well, you knew something was up!
Now, do you think this damages Patti Stanger? Is it hard to sell people the idea that you can find them love when you can't succeed in your own life? Will she be able to separate business from personal? Patti Stanger has always kept it professional but let's face it clients want their matchmaker, matched (LOL). Why? They want to feel what she SPEWS at them has worked. Patti, on the other hand has always covered her ass. She states, "I don't believe in soul mates, I believe in life mates and I don't believe there is just one life mate out there for you." WHAT?? We will get back to that line in a moment! Patti, has to believe in several life mates, which really isn't that an oxymoron? Because her mother, also, a matchmaker, has been married a few times. Therefore, Patti doesn't necessarily preach she will help you find your 'one and only'. Nope, what she basically is saying, "I will find you someone for a time and if it doesn't work out, don't worry, we will help find you another one."
Now back to soul mate and life mate, I am not sure what is the difference between the two?? I mean, if you hear the phrase life mate, don't you think FOREVER and don't you think that when you hear the phrase soul mat?. So, how can you have several life mates?? Sometimes, I just think people make IT up as they go! Okay, we could go on and on about Patti Stanger and some of her dating tips but we won't!

The non-negotiables seem to be about starting a family.* Oh, my! I do understand that it does seem to be all the rage, starting families late in life and I must admit this baffles me a tad bit? Patti is 49 years old, now that is up there for a woman. Andy is 52 years old and I know men seem to have children at all ages; my question to people, does anyone think of the kids? I know with modern science we do live longer and healthier lives but we don't live forever nor do we have a guarantee that we will be healthy. We age and with age our bodies change, it is the cycle of life! People who have children late in life, well, I guess all they want are to experience their children because chances of experiencing grandchildren, well, forget about it, especially if their kids wait until the 'late in life' approach. I am just wondering, you know when does the boat pass you by? At what point is it too late to start a family? Are we beginning to feel never? Patti Stanger is 49 and not even pregnant. I am assuming at some point she will have to look into other options. Therefore, she is starting a family in her Fifties. Think about it? She will be almost 70 when attending her child's High School graduation and once again, that is assuming she is healthy? Why put a child through such a life? I mean, if you end up not being healthy your child pays a price! I know there are no guarantees for young parents either but don't we like to examine the odds? The odds are against age, it is just the way life goes! I think at some point people need to start thinking of the children of older parents and what they feel growing up? Oh, well enough of that soapbox!
Another question I would love to ask Patti, "You and Andy dated for six years and this 'negotiable' never came up? You wait until you are engaged?"
Well,I will say one thing Patti Stanger has a damn good psychic. Did you see the episode with Patti's psychic? She told Patti she wasn't going to get married? Patti tried to fluff it off. Man, that Psychic scored big time or maybe she had an inside scoop???
