Here we go! Real Housewives of New Jersey, Episode 13!! Kim G's audition!!!
We have Yet another week of Teresa Giudice spending money we all know she doesn't have. The baptism was beautiful. Dina Manzo, who now has gone back into the designing business since she has given up on Reality Television did a beautiful job for an over the top baptism. Christopher got to practice his so-called first big event with his Aunt at his side and for Teresa, a close family friend. Now, the question is since all of the this was done for television how much did the Giudice's really have to pay? Anymore we are finding out that with the promise of it being televised and the women blogging about who they used a lot of the stuff gets donated for the events because it is free advertising.
Many things I found interesting about the Baptism. Caroline claimed she never heard of the first dance, (which I bet is true) but Teresa claimed she did it all the baptisms?? Therefore, I am going to assume Teresa is not as close to Caroline and Dina as we first thought? They may have known each other for many years but they certainly have never been to her previous baptisms because Teresa has had 3 other baptisms and isn't the second to youngest child like 3 years old?? So, that means even three years ago they didn't go to her child's baptism, correct?? Or, the first three baptisms were not like Audrianna's and maybe there wasn't that first dance thing before??? Teresa seems to have trouble with all her storytelling, I mean trouble with FACTS!!!
I almost felt sorry for Joe during the baptism scenes, ALMOST. He seemed genuinely upset by the extravagance but he had no clue how to stop it! I did find the conversation between him and Teresa interesting in the car. Was Joe almost blaming Teresa for some of their money problems?? Notice, how he said she should bargain shop and he stated she no longer had the check book. I wonder if Teresa is still the HAPPY WIFE????
Now, onto some even more awkward scenes!
Poor Christine going to the Gynecological doctor with her mom! Oh, my that scene was painful. I felt for Christine. Poor Danielle, all I can say is we all want/wish abstinence for our 'innocent' children but what want/wish and what really happens are two different things. Don't ever tell yourself your child wouldn't because you just never know! The only upside to the scene and it was hard to find an upside is the importance that mothers should take their daughters to the doctor, many still do not do it. Oh, and as a former High School teacher, all of you that balked at the Oral Sex question, it is good that Christine heard from a doctor she can contract sexual diseases. Unfortunately, High School kids believe they can't and they feel Oral Sex is safe. This generation has turned to Oral Sex has their way around condoms. It is unfortunate, will informing them of the danger totally stop it? of course not but we do preach that we should educate our children and Danielle was doing that, now she was making some of the mistakes of past generations, you know the "This should scare you enough to not do it." statement, yeah, " Danielle you should know that doesn't work". Educating them with facts, preparing them for the situation and then hoping and praying or crossing your fingers whatever you prefer is about all you can do but ignoring it is not the route, many of our parents tried that and it didn't do well for our generation or the generations before us. Alright, off my teacher soap box and back to Real Housewives Fun!
I found the scene with Danielle and Kim G. talking about finding Danielle's birth mother a little out of place but it had to be put in so we would understand the Diner scene and understand the relationship between Danielle and Kim G. One woman felt they were friends, another woman saw an opportunity! I will let you decided which is which or do you think both were using each other???
Poor Christopher Manzo. That 'kid' had two awkward conversations. The first one with BEGGING Kim G. That scene was sad. Kim G. begging Christopher to help her set up a lunch date!! I don't think I even need to say more!!
The scene I found even more telling was the one with his mom, Caroline. It wasn't what was said, it was what was not said. I wanted Caroline to say, "C'mon Christopher Mrs. Granatell never has asked to go to lunch with me once in all the years you guys have been friends and now I am on a cool Reality show and she wants to play Monkey in the Middle and try to go to lunch with me to gossip and get air time." Bam, that would have been awesome and you know damn well Caroline has said that behind closed doors!!!
Now, the scene that many people seemed to get upset about and it didn't bug me was when Christine told Danielle about the gossiping at the Beauty shop. I think Christine really thought she was just letting her mom know that Teresa was still gossiping about Danielle and then Christine felt bad when it became clear that some information that came out could only have come from Kim G. Both girls tried to calm Danielle down about Kim G. I think they probably liked Kim G. Danielle brings people into their circle and the girls knew they were getting ready to lose a friend but I will give Danielle credit she did walk out and call Danny to discuss Kim G. We won't go into the fact that it was Danny. Danny seems to be Danielle's friend and like any person who just found out a friend is a piece of shit she called another friend to bitch.
Then, we have what I call Kim G's auditioning scenes!!! Knocking on Jacqueline's door all upset, totally with microphone, full on makeup and hair, cute little outfit and Jacqueline all 'dolled' up too but Kim G wants us to believe she is all upset, cussing up storm and has been up all night crying because Danielle sent mean emails?? Emails telling people not to hang out with Kim G. Oh, I believe the emails were sent, would I stay up all night, as a grown woman, hell no! Jacqueline says, blah, blah, blah, oh and quit being two faced and Kim G says, "Yeah, you are right, I am DONE with her and you can tell all the girls." AGENDA MUCH??? I mean really, if that wasn't pathetic. "Please Jacqueline, let me in the cool circle, and I am dumping Danielle, you tell everybody. Pretty Please with a cherry on top!!"
Now, Kim G knows she has to make this real! Oh, make what REAL?? Her job on REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY! Therefore, she meets Danielle in a public place and she makes a total Ass of herself at a restaurant. Bingo!! Bravo gives her an entire scene! Andy Cohen, tweets #squaretits!!! But, you know what, I know this is going to make a lot of you mad, Kim G made Danielle look, um, almost classy. Danielle did not make A scene. She did not throw anything nor yell or cuss and she tried to remove herself when she saw things getting way out of hand.
You know what, I am curious if Caroline and even Dina will be going to lunch with Miss Kim G since she has proven her loyalty, she might not have flipped a table like Teresa but you know, the squaretits will earn her points so is she in the 'club' and better yet, do you think she got the job?? Will she be the new #4?? You know 4 against 1!!!!
